since when did they make a 6600TurboCache?

8600GTS seems quite a good card, esp seeing the price when the ATi cards come out
What the hell nvidia thinks bringing the 8600 GT/GTS with a 128 bit bus?
That´s a huge bottleneck.

My suggestion: Giving them the 256 bit bus would lead to a FPS nearly the high end cards, because the current games doensn´t take whole advantage of the GC´s new architecture.

I for myself will never buy a x600 nvidia again. My 6600 GT was fast enough for most games, then I got Half Life 2, Splinter Cell 3 and Far Cry and couldn´t play the games with high settings.

Save some more money a few months and go for the second high level cards. Having bought the 7800 GT instead of the 7600 GT was the best decision I could think of.

would also make them more expensive and eat into 8800 price range
there will be 8800GS and 8800 Ultra soon anyway.

I would wait with buying some midrange cards now.The 8800GS will come soon as well ATI new HD 2xxx line.
I wouldnt buy this at all, and 128bits oh come on, just wait for ATi's dx10 card (x2xxx) or 8800 gs or ultra, but well its nice package with zallman cooler and stalker, or advanced warfighter, but still, i would get it over ANY dx9 gfx, because DX10 is REALLY AWESOME
Quote from Slidaaaa :because DX10 is REALLY AWESOME

I hope you really mean it in sarcastic way.
