The online racing simulator
LFS Atlanta Meetup (uploaded photos of event)
Hey guys.

This is kind of short notice, but I saw an ad on tv today for a big historic racing event next weekend (27th-29th) at Road Atlanta. I immediately wondered if guys from the southeast US would want to meet up, see some cool cars, have a few pints, etc etc.

It's called The Mitty, and the website is here: http://www.themitty.com

It's pretty cheap ($25 for 1 day, $45 for all three) and you can do all kinds of cool stuff like drive your road car on the track and so on.

Anyone interested?

I'm planning to be there and my teammate Starry is a strong maybe right now.

SE..=.=

Im at NW of USA..haha
Ain't no thang... grab a plane ticket!
sounds like fun, i might talk my dad into it, because i'm sure he'd want to go too, and i know of a friend i can get also

oh and on an even shorter notice, if you know where YearOne carparts is, they are having a car show THIS saturday at 3

Hmm, interesting. I have plans for Saturday or I'd probably try to make that one.

Who else is in the ATL area, XC? I know th84 is...
Ah yeah... I just sent an email to operator0. We'll see if anything comes of it.
i was just talking to my dad while washing my car, apparently the person i did his car in 3d, the Lola sports 2000, he's going to be racing there too so.. i think i'm gonna be going if i can get my dad to allow me since exams are comming up soon :S

if i do good these next few weeks though chances are pretty high i can go
Yeah i live in georgia (around forsyth, macon ect) but can't make it sadly... car is a 97 Oldsmobile Cutless
if you live in forsyth its like.. not that far of a drive tbh

and whats wrong with a car from 97? mine is a '95

anyways i forgot to mention the only day i'd be able to go (obviously) is sat. so..

if this doesn't fly to well we should try something during the summer time

Mine's a '91, but the windows and A/C work at least.

You gotta have a/c in Georgia!!

I forgot, I too could only be there on Fri/Sat., Ill be in Talladega on Sunday.

I just saw you were only 16, probably not a good idea anyway!

Yeah.....

Last thing I need is to be up there and get my head stuck in some ricer's 10 inch wide exaust pipe
yearone show was alright.. it never is much tbh, the burnout contest at the end (sundown) is the best to see though, thats always the fun part; there are always a ton of cars, but not my type... its just alot of older muscle and hotrods, some are interesting but after you go through a few hundred cars of the same make and model it gets pretty redundant

norcross show is always much better even though it has only half the cars (around 200 or so), that is comming up may 19th i think?
yea because thats the day i graduate.. sucks.. but i'll be there

Let's shoot for Saturday, then?
how early do you think you guys want to go?

i'll have to talk to my friend i know he'll want to go, but i think i want to leave my home around 8 or 9 so i can get up there before lunch

only problem is.. i dont know the track or where anything is since my dad sold the place to panoz.. but i'm sure they have maps nevermind
I'm thinking I'll try to get there fairly early.

XC, how old are you dude? 18?
gonna be 19 at the beginning of July

but yea lol the earlier the better; parking wise (always had that problem even though my dad was VP), and the weather is better and its just generally more enjoyable in the earlier hours.. plus since its an all day thing.. no reason to let that money go to waste
bump

Well, the race begins tomorrow morning, it should be interesting to see what is going on by the time we (I) arrive. So far I have the go to go, and I'm bringing two friends I believe, can anyone else confirm they will be there? Also one last note, we need to get each other's cell phone numbers so we can meet up and get a picture taken of what I believe to be the first US LFS meetup (pretty sure it is atleast?).
I'll contact you hopefully by tomorrow night at the latest regarding my attendance/contact info. I'm 90% good to go at this point.
