When going online and leaving the pit, I find that my speed is governed at about 40 - 50 MPH.

Why is that?

you're experiencing the pit limiter probably. Press the L key to turn it on and off.

A pit limiter exists to assist you in driving in and through the pits, because a speed limit is uphold there, so you can't go too fast in the pits, or else you will get one or more penalties.
But when you're leaving the pits, the limiter can be turned off of course.

Is there a comprehensive set of docs anywhere? There doesn't seem to be much of anything for docs with LFS.

hey vic, ever thought about officialising the LFS Manual wiki? didnt they make a PDF out of it, so maybe you can attach that in the LFS download

Since LFS will undergo many changes and additions yet, a manual is perhaps premature. The LFS Wiki serves us well until then.
