It seems the way to deal with problems here at LFS forum is to shut up and say nout, rather having members of the community reporting their findings and getting files legally pulled off sites.

Dont be so blind ignorant. Hosting is the weak link in all this, because some people write that stuff for a living.
AtomAnt in disguise???

You could at least post some reference to your post so we had some clue what are you on about.

I opened a thread with links to cracked software to further the point I was trying to make. We cant discuss that topic for good reasons, I understand linking to it may have pissed people off, but that was my point, it is a big, big problem and I thought 'we' as a community could have done something to help.

Trying to deal with the problem is one thing, giving people detailed instructions on how to pirate LFS by linking them straight to the source is another.
You posted links directly to cracks.
Weather cracks are easy to find or not, posting them on this site makes them even easier to get.
Believe it or not , some people don't know how to find cracks. I know its easy, so do most of us i imagine, but some don't. Posting a link to them can only encourage some demo users to try them.

If you think you can get these crack sites shut down then your being extremely naive. Most of them are hosted in countries where our laws don't apply.

Posting links to those cracks ,on the official LFS site, was just simply irresponsible.

Thanks, the post was made around the question can we as a community do anything to help?, its just unfortunate I lacked the cop-on at the time to think about what I was doing.

Yup, i can see your intentions were good, i just felt you went about it in a rather silly way.
Unfortunately there's absolutely nothing we can do about cracks and cracksites. They are a fact of internet life.

Sorry if i came across harshly in my post. That wasn't the intention.
yep.
like 1 year ago i send the devs quite a few links to sites that host cracks for S2 but the response was that they cant do nothing
i thought they could sue them cuz of copyright laws or so...i guess i were wrong.
to be honest whats the big deal with cracks?
u cant play them online which is the main part of LFS so y not just let these guys play off line and cause no body any harm...? its not like the Devs are loosing money over it as the demo is free and u have to pay for a license, its not like a CD or DVD copy where the Devs/company are loosing money as they have to pay for each disk to be published....
