Autocross reworked
There have been complaints for a top speed test track. Whilst a bowl would be hard to do, here is a number of modifications to the autocross environment to add
  • A even longer drag strip (5km, it could be longer if desired)
  • An AVUS-style track that can be used for top speed testing
  • An actual circuit, should some sections be widened.

Looking at you diagram i think it is completely uneeded. If we were setting up a road car for comfort then yes test circuits and speed tests are fine but as the cars are set up for racing and geared specifically for each track seemed pointless to me. If your talking about just another curcuit still a -1 as i would prefer a new environment.
To what benefit? We have real circuits, the autocross arena is not meant for that, I'd much rather see a dedicated racing circuit developed.

Why test top speeds? Just, why? How does it benefit racing? If you really want to know what the car will max out at on an infinite length dragstrip, you can use mathematics to work it out. It's not rocket science.

Drag strips are all about acceleration, the point is that they're short. At the moment there is plenty of space to safely brake to a halt without fear of crashing into a barrier.
