hello,

one month ago i drive on so city rev ca. 11:30 dsl disconnected by provider i make me a koffee and connect again to stcc new & bronce and i drive alone i drive in the second lap and one player connected but he is out of the track i finished and new wr..... mhhh it was a bad time! the other player: "ohh my god a big bug, i drive on bl gp" i typing $track and:
so city rev !!! reconnect, and i was on bl gp! and now i cant connect to the servers, no coppers and not longer silver license!

but this are the best servers and i will play, the license is not for interest i drive me back to silver and better!

What I can do???

sorry for my bad english
When this happened we believed an exploit was being used, we even spoke to the devs about it to figure out what was happening, in the end it turned out to be an LFS issue that when changing tracks not all clients got changed to the new track. We went back and found everyone who was penalised by this bug and removed any bans, I guess you must have slipped the net.

One of the admins or myself will investigate today and sort it out.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Wait for Becky to see your post

(Das STCC System hat leider noch einige Macken, deine Lizenzdaten dürften aber noch irgendwo gespeichert sein, lässt sich sicher wieder zurücksetzen )

Edit: too slow...
nein, das storung wer LFS!

Why yes I did, but with an English keyboard I figured I would leave it up to the reader to put the dots there with one of these.
#7 - herki
Bah! I didn't want to point out the dots, I know most of you are to lazy to look up/insert the ascii codes, I wanted to tell you, that "Störung" is a female word in german (It's always the females ) j/k

PS: I'm not to lazy to press alt+156 every time I want a "£"
I can press alt, but i'm on a Mac. As for a word which I believe means fault being female ... I'm glad i'm English and we dont genderise things, if I was German i'd be chaining myself to a railing. Faults are clearly male!

I shall continue derailing this thread: You should know genderising things can be much fun plus it confuses people who aren't native speakers
About faults being female/male: Why don't you start a poll? On this forum of course, because it perfectly represents the women-men-ratio, and you will see, that faults are being female

Don't read that: While "Störung" is being female, "Fehler" would be male, so no advantages for anybody
I dont care about your white text, ALL faults are male and the fault of everything is because of men. You're all ... !

@ Mautzie, I've removed the ban and restored Silver licence.

It was an LFS bug that has since come to light. Sorry for the delay in finding you and restoring your points.
thank you when i have the bug again, rejoin now

Oh dear, I guess I could have great long pointless discussions with you
I'll stop for now though, which should not mean proving you right... It's just more an IM-topic

off topic: I didn't now the STCC code was done on a mac. great another mac user.
Good lord no, I program the STCC system on a PC.

However i'm going to be writing an Instant Messenger client soon which talks to the servers so you can chat to your STCC friends list and chat on the channels.*

I plan to launch the Mac versions first, then PC, then Linux. That's the great thing about Macs, you can beta trial software to a much smaller user base

*If you haven't seen the new PM & Channel commands, they're only operational on the experimental server at the moment - once fully live they will allow inter server private chat messages to your friends in LFS, they also have a group messaging system for teams to chat on, and there's a public channel for LRF drivers to arrange races on.
its all ok but i can`t connect to experimental server patch w10. Or is this sever only for admins or gold or any other???
Both STCC2 servers (a & b) require a silver licence to compete. Sorry
#18 - SamH
Hmm.. mautzie has a silver licence, so he should be able to enter the W10 server
SamH, the development server has a seperate copy of the bans file, did you remove Mautzie from that one too?

Remember we need to copy the bans file over, until we move over to Patch X
#20 - SamH
Oops! I didn't remove it from that one, nope. Will fix that now

[edit] mautzie's now able to go anywhere on the STCC system
You just cant get the staff these days...
#22 - SamH
Oi, watch it, shorty!
Hey Sam, try to not prove Becky's theory of faults being male
ok now its all right, thanks
