more cars ?? thats all people talk bout but nobody seems to notice that most the cars they request are well rubbish cause after all who would want a go- kart when they could have a bmw gtr/ toyota altezza instead ?

We already have a heavy, front-engine, medium-power, rear-wheel drive road car, why do we need another? The more car TYPES the better.

We don't need 100 identical cars.

It would bring LFS a form of racing it currently has not. The ones you mentioned wouldn't.

There is one other thing: I think it won't happen to see brand like Subaru, Honda, etc ingame. Look all the current cars, they all look to one or two real cars. So as said by Forbin, we shouldn't talk about cars but about types.

It makes perfect sense to me. But I suppose that I know how challenging and enjoyable kart racing can be. Most race drivers start their racing career in karts, it's the foundation for so many drivers in many forms of motorsport which alone is a good reason to consider the addition of go-kart racing in LFS.

I think most people will welcome whatever car types are added to LFS anyway. Of course we all have varying tastes. Even though I'd prefer a kart over an Altezza or a BMW GTR, I'd prefer a Le Mans type of car over a kart anyday, and (for what it's worth) I'd prefer a wooden box with caster wheels nailed to the bottom, over an Altezza

Faster car doesnt equal better or more fun racing.

I had my most fun and close races in UF1, XFG and TBO.

I agree with people who know what theyre talking about - so +1 for more car types, and -1 for original Idea of adding cars to GTR and TBO class

Ehm...this kinda gave me a idea, I believe it's called soap box derby, and in it - people race self made not propelled cars (basicaly a "a wooden box with caster wheels nailed to the bottom") on a downhill track...

You make no sense to me... What is the point in simulating similar car types over and over again...

There is no point... LFS should venture into other areas of motorsport such as karting, prototypes etc. I'm sure from what Scawen has said this is where he wants to go with LFS, I get the idea he probably enjoys trying to simulate other areas of motorsport. For example a kart will require chassis flex to be taken into consideration.

You obviously have no idea of the performance of proper karts and especially superkarts... Also the great racing they can bring because of the fact they are basically all about mechanical grip.

More variety would be nice, especially given the way each car in LFS seems to have its own unique character. But yeah, simulating different types of racing should definitely come first, and yeah karts are important.

Id go for 1300-1400 kilo 350 BHP FR car in LRF class though

I'd like a Ginetta, or maybe a Brooke Double R.
