id like to see a proper ssq dump and loop right at according revs, usaly ppl that say they have done big and hard things and are talking smack, are ppl who dont realese things, i,e i have added 18 more cars? beleive me?, so no u havnt made one until u realease it, cause we dont believe a 3 post member

I've never heard a BOV being called a "dump valve." There is such thing as a dump tube (which comes off the wastegate) but i've never heard the term "dump valve."

Seems like some people in here are trying to argue with minimum/no knowledge of forced induction.

I am no turbo expert, but maybe you have been living in the shadows to never have heard of a dump valve before? Where are you from? It could be more of an americanized term if you are from another country?

I've heard people use "dump valve" more than "BOV". But then again, I don't live in the US.

Quick google search suggests that:

Dump valve = atmospheric BOV
Bypass valve = recirculating BOV
He's from America lol!

A dump valve is the pressure relief valve on the induction side of the turbo, whilst the waste-gate is the pressure relief valve on the exhaust side (I believe).

Don't Americans call 'Dump Valves' 'Blow-Off Valves' or "Pop-off...'?

1. What happens if you don't have an intercooler?

2. Insults just make you look like an idiot unless you have a basic understanding of grammer and spelling.

3. Being so foul is never cool. You might think it is because you homies in your damp, squallid towerblock apartment only know how to shout at 3am and swear at grannies, but it's no reason to do it here.

4. You obviously only know a TINY bit about Turbos, so don't get mad when there is a chance you look like a fool. In many countries I bet it's not called a dump valve (see my earlier post), and if you want to be liked on this forum you're gonna have to start accepting multi-cultural differences.

u would put ur bov, or drophole, dumpvalve horse shoe, watever u want to call it on ur turbo boost piping that runs from ur turbo to engine intake, lol iv actualy study engine dynamics, bottom eng crancks, con-rods main bearings crank bridges, bore ,stroke, head work, valves pushrods lifters cams valvess,valve springs advance retard, ingnition timing ways of 2 and 4 stroke engines. engine tuning. forced induction (turbo, roots blowers,) compression work, pre-combustion champers. pre-ingition. fuels fuel types oil types grease types, air-fuel ratios. so when u say i know little, i get offended,nerd
did i mention radiators oil coolers, oil pumps oil breathers backblow, air flow meters, alternators startermotors, back pressures, engine timing(belts etc,)
vaccum lines, distributors, electronic coil packs, ignition coils, basic elecs,
fuel pumps,. return lines, all brakes and suspension upper lower arms, wishbones, shocks springs, brakes calipers inner pistons,. drum brakes,
basic diesel engine work, done bit of work on rotors, too, . suck on that

doesnt loop right, but if did and was louder would sound like ur turbo compressor wheel is back tracking on throttle off, like sound of bov not opening, some ppl put bovs on and here this sequencial flutter like that. and think its the BOV, but no its there turbo and noise coming from air filter usaly and there ****ing there cars lol, unless is sequnecial bov
