Whenever the stupid intro for ITVs F1 coverage plays I think to myself "This is crap, bring back the old one". I wanted to watch it to see if it really is as much better as I remember, but a quick search on Youtube brought up some rather strange videos.

Anyone know where I can see the old BBC F1 intro (with Fleetwood Mac in the background)?

Look through the other various intros and you will notice they only got crap when some idiot sold the TV rights to ITV

The BBC one is called The Chains, by Fleetwood Mac.
The last ITV intro was by Jamiroquai that was not released to the public.
The current ITV intro is by Moby, called "Lift me up".

I was just talking to some guys yesterday about how much I miss the old intros. The Chain will always always be "the F1 intro music" to so many of us, and I am still just as pissed that it was changed as I was when it happened!

The chain was such a good tune, seemed perfect for F1. We need to make a pertition to get itv to use the chain

I imagine that there might be some rights reasons about The Chain, but the intro to Club Foot (off Kasabian's first album) I guess would suit (not as well though) .
