I'd say almost every team is international and the same goes for all the leagues!

Just because they don't say "international team" doesn't mean its not. You should have a look at the nationalities of some teams and the people that make up the big leagues.

EDIT: http://www.lfs-league.com/ Check out the, Subscribers, bit!
True - R4R has members from GB, France, Sweden and Canada

The Gentlefoot Championship has provisional entries from all over the world.

I think current leagues cater for that kind of thing already The OLFSL, for example, has an international points board already.

Plus the "top people" will probably already be in a team and finding the time to race for an internationl team might be a problem. Not to mention the difficulties of making a league of that size, managing all the teams needed and start times to fit all the people in all the different times zones.

I don't think it's a question of you looking after it, it's more that do you want to start this kind of league. I'd check cause I'm sure I read something of this nature before.....but I could have been dreaming.

So, would anyone like to see drivers representing their countrys compete in a league "world cup" style?

@ garph: There would be a lot of work involved trying to round up non-English speaking teams but that could be done by getting a community member to translate what needs translating.

Time zones would also need some carefull planning, but its not impossible.
SWR - Spider-Web Racing is a danish team - with nothing but danish drivers. We are aiming to win the danish championship, and in the future, we will make an effort to win international races too... At the moment, we're only racing in the IGTC, but we are hoping to attend the next SimFIA DTM series

Was that the kind of answer, you wanted?

Quote from sidi :You mean like this http://nationscup.7.forumer.com/

Nikimere successfully setup and ran the nations cup and from the races i represented scotland in i thought it was most enjoyable

Yes it's a great idea (even if i do say so myself) but i could have run it a LOT better, unfortunately because of the size of the league and the time-span it ran across i had to stop running the league with 2 races to go (because of personal commitments). Fortunately minimax took over and the teams saw out the final 2 races.
I think Finland won...
Muroc team is an international one aswell
Quote from nikimere :I think Finland won...

It was Slovenia & Australia who won as they were tied on points after the two races. I am considering restarting the league again later this year but have other commitments at the moment

Edit - sorry Slovenia not Serbia as tonix pointed out
I would definately participate in it for Ireland and so would my friend.

ah, i stand corrected
would be great to see the LFSNC back again
Wasn't Serbia & Australia who won because the Germany, Finland and some others left before the last phase actually kicked on properly?

Don't really remember but... that is what I do remember

We were a pure german team, now we made the step to go international.
We gained a very nice guy as new member, seated in the US and i think being an international team there is always fresh air with people from different nations, i'm really happy our team decided to go this way!

And i think most leagues are international as well, like the whole lfs community is very international. I dont hear much of the spanish speaking guys dont know where they are always hiding
The good thing about LFS is, it has both. National teams and leagues and also international events and leagues. And through the time we saw different championships internationally, from World Championship to nationscup OLFSL champs etc. etc.

Actually Australia and Slovenia won, Serbia was third. But yes, it's true that finals weren't as strong as expected, because Finland and Germany didn't show up .
