Quote from wsinda :That is the same, by definition. At least, that's what they made me believe when I studied maths at the university.

technically its not really different but if im not completely mistaken in exact mathematic definition this is not the same and i doubt youll find any resource on how to assign an angle to two skew lines
I did maths to GCSE grade C, am I right in thinking the answer to (ii) on the English one is 6 square meters?
Really shows how low the benchmark is for English education.
Apparently in China they practice everything 52 times. They are the best at mathamatics in the world.

The second question is easy. I worked the first two out and can't be arsed to do the trigonometry for the last bit.
I could do the 2nd (trigonometrics) one in 5 years ago, i can still do it. The 1st one though, I think the (i) is about C and C1 being equal, because the 1 is the sign for that. But i can be very wrong. The (ii) the angle between those planes is about 65 degrees, but the proper solution can get very long. The (iii) isosceles triangle, so the lower angles should both be 70 degrees so the upper is 40 degrees. Again i don't know the proper solution, i bet it's long.

This is just my memory trying to remember, this can be 100% bogus tho.
holy crap. it sounds like the english education system is just as bad as the americans.

"i could answer it except i didn't know all the sysmbols" L.O.freaking.L.

Well to learn past basics (American advanced) you have to want to, so most people either don't bother, or just forget. I forgot pretty much everything I learnt in college and had to relearn it when I started uni. Stupid log =[

Umm..... Is that supposed to be hard? So easy... an American can do it!

Number two is GCSE level over here (read: 12-16 year olds do it), god only knows what uni uses that as an entry level exam, if anyone finds out, never go there XD

The 2nd one is so easy that it isn't worth doing at all.
