FFB level changes after hits in race???
Anyone suffered this.

Was driving around on UF1 on SO3R yesterday using my Logitech DFP wheel and basically, well everytime i got hit by people, my steering got lighter, meaning my ffb was getting less strength setting - looking on F10 damage thou i had little if no damage yet the stregth had definately changed, almost to the point where no ffb was being measured. I mentioned to a team mate on ventrillo and they said that had a G25 and was getting the same thing?

so i guess has anyone else found this if yes, is it a game bug or problems with our wheels or is it a certain combo car/track related thing.

of course i've had hits and scrapes before but nothing like the feeling in this combo?

just after some reassuring voices from other users

Cheers,

Dru.
I think it's when you take a front impact - you lose some (or gain some in the wrong direction!) of the castor on the front suspension because the front wheels are pushed back towards the cockpit. That's what changes the strength of feedback through the wheel, but the F10 display doesn't show that type of damage.
As thisnameistaken mentioned, front impacts can reduce caster. I suppose it's possible that side impacts could reduce inclination as well, although I've never noticed or looked for it.
Yes Dru, it's happened to me in different cars and with rear contact, and I'm using a MSFF wheel, so its definitely not a controller issue.
