Couple suggestions re: menus
Kinda hard to search on this (i did try!) - but if it hasn't been suggested before...

1. When selecting skins for your car, you click a button which takes you to the skins menu, but if you want to preview a range of skins, you have to constantly swap back and forth between the skins menu and the main garage screen. It would be easier if your car was in the skins menu screen as well, thus making it possible to preview a skin before selecting it. That way you wouldn't have to go through this back and forth process.

2. Many people assign skins to AI's,- I usually have about 4 or 5 skins maximum assigned for each car. Clicking the 'add AI player' button adds AI's starting from 1 going to 20. Sometimes you delete AI's, sometimes you add more- but if the count is at 10, and you've deleted your first few custom skinned AI's, and want them back- then you have to cycle through the whole 20 before you come back to 1. This happens to me quite a bit and it's kinda frustrating. So the suggestion here is a small reset button or something that deletes your AI's and sets the count back to 1...

Also, how about a button that adds 5 AI's at a time? There's a lot of room in the menu for a few extra buttons.

3. Unrelated to skins ... When first entering into single player mode, you have to go through the track selection menu, then after choosing a track- from there into the single player screen/menu. It might be a little more logical/easier if the first screen (after clicking single player) was the single player screen, skipping altogether the track menu. So, LFS simply presents the last car/track combo you used before quitting out previously. I guess this is most useful for people who tend to practice one combo a lot, regularly. Also, I realise that the track must load up after you hit 'join race', not after the track selection screen as happens now...

Sorry if this is a bit confusing- can't really put it any simpler..
 skin preview

 slicker AI management

Didn't read the third one - late for work
I don't see much need for the first thing, that's not really much of a pain to have one extra click per skin change.

I have no idea what you mean with number 2

For number three; In the options you can set 'track load at startup' or something along those lines. That will load the previously driven/selected track upon game startup, which will bypass the track selection screen. This is how it used to be; not loading the track on statup is a new-ish feature that came in patch V I believe.
1. I agree, its time comsuming looking for skins constantly back and forth.
2. I agree, but maybe have the option of adding them by name. Such as, "/addai AI 1". And "/removeai AI 4".
3. I kinda understand. I think. You want to enter the race, select track then go without returning to set up screen?

Yes, that works. Ok, scratch number 3.

No, I simply don't want to select a track before entering single player mode. I want to bypass that screen. Maggot's worked it out- see above.
+1 for #1 :]
for #2 i think there`s a /clear command that clears all AI and yourself from the SP screen... Don`t know if this was what you want
So there is.. But that doesn't really help the noobs. What do you have to do to find out that information? Read the manual? Sheeshh...

About the 'load track at startup' option- I still think that's a little cumbersome. With that option, LFS just assumes you want to race on the last saved track- so it loads it up. But imo it would be better to be able to decide in the Single Player screen- you might want to race the same track again, or you might not. So, after clicking join (after you've made your car/track choices), the track loads into memory, and off you go.. That's pretty conventional game design.
LFS uses the currect track light settings to render the spinning car in the menu screens; including AI and MP opponents. Without loading the track, that would not be possible.

Loading a track only takes a few seconds, I don't see it as a big deal, really, and I like how when you hit the go button, you're there, on the track. Not waiting for everyone to load the track.
