MOMO force (RED one)
Can anyone tell me if the momo red one has a good turning circle ?

Is it a good wheel or too old compared to the DFP and newer MOMO?

I know the DFP and G25 do a 900 degree... whats the red one do?

240°, i'm afraid

The Red Momo is better made than the Black one, but DFP is a better overall wheel

Red one does 270 degrees. I like it better than the black one, mainly because of the leather wheel and metal paddles. The pedals suck though with the pivoting system. Never tried a DFP but I'm sure it's the best buy out of the three.
great. I have never had a wheel to use for LFS but all the good lappers seem to use one. I am going to get one from ebay and can't work out the best to get for the buck!

the MOM red just looks the business and I like the idea of the leather with metal pedals. Because the DFP and black MOMO are newer, I wondered if the red MOMO was still technologically up to the same as the others (apart from the G25 of course!).

If a comparible price, would you say the MOMO red is as good to get?

No, i would say the DFP is the best bet
If you can even buy a red momo, then go right ahead, but they are so rare chances are you wont find any.
If you can however, I would say go right ahead because they seem to be the best wheel ever made for PC, whenever they were made?

I can't give an estimate on price because I've only seen one sold before and never saw a price for them, but otherwise if you have the money go for a G25 (or a DFP, I believe jak has had plenty of problems with his G25, guess he just got a faulty one).

DFP has an optical sensor for steering just like the G25 while the red momo uses a potentiometer which might need replacing at some point. Also the additional lock and buttons the DFP provides makes it a winner here IMO. I've also read that the DFP delivers better FFB. If the red momo is half the price of the dfp, then it might be worth considering.
thanks for the answers...... really interesting. On ebay, the DFP seems to end up more than the Red Momo to be honest.

,,I've read a few reviews about the G25 and although it has a 900 degree wheel turn, many have said thats not necessary. With that in mind, is 240 or 270 degrees enough to have a smooth drive?

Well yeah it's enough when you have had some practise with it and set the wheel turn compensation to suit your driving. The potentiometer however will not give you as smooth inputs as the optical sensor does - which might also contribute to the improved FFB on the DFP.
too many variables!!!!!!!

PLEASE get the DFP, its a MUCH better bet
thanks! I didnt win the red momo - it finished up on £72!

I can get a new DFP on ebay for £65 +shipping. Anyone know any other places for DFP's that are good prices?
Use google and go into more, and select products (formerly known as Froogle), it shows all prices and you can arrange them etc. It even shows ones on ebay.

that's awesome thanks
Quote from StableX :good stuff Jacob. Get ready for good lap times

Thanks!, I'm looking forward to it

the funny thing is when you buy things on Newegg if there out of stock they will send you something better so I'm hoping the delay in shipping was they where out of MOMO's so they sent a G25. They did that with my water cooling kit, they where out of stock and didn't know it and they sent my a better kit that cost about $60 more and didn't charge extra for it, it just took 1 extra day to ship lol

I LOVE NEWEGG!
And, what did they ship?
