Forum Signatures.

Why doesn't someone make a set of different LFS forum signatures that include details such as stats and profile name etc and on/offline. This way, people can show the amount they drive as well as to use them on different forums to promote this community!

in the same way that BF2 or BF2142 or many other games do!

your missing the point. this is a simple way to allow others to "instantly" see others stats while reading the forum. Secondly, that same sig image can be used to promote this community. We've done it with many other forums and they are now used widely.

You .. can instantly see it? just about, it took my computer 5 seconds to load it up.

I remember seeing something about showing off your stats on other forums but I dont recall where that thread was.

here's a couple of examples. We did it for this site to show forum stats only and specific things like prediction winnings - but the data shown can easily be from the LFS database.

That's the only project I know in that direction...

I guess the main reason is that image signatures of any kind are atrocious and highly irritating. Then again, we already have the ST... no, CTRA user bars, so signatures are and will stay disabled for me anyway.

I agree with android, in that link you put, I see more sig images than actual posts. It can get really messy really quickly.

that link allows for custom sigs as well as the set from the site. If you set it to only the ones made as listed, then its not messy you can also not make the sig so long, just wide.

and if you don't like signatures, you have the option in your own control panel to disable them

LFS isn't really comparable to BF2. A lot of LFS players (forum-goers) rarely even race online.

Like me--I've been playing LFS since 2002, and look at my stats--do they tell you I'm a newbie? (rhetorical question =P)
