Hello. I just reinstalled my drivers, becasue of a glitch, and it fixed it... but...

I have a not-so-up-to-date computer, with: AMD Athlon 1.3GHz, 1GB DDR RAM, nForce2 motherboard, and a NVidia 5200FX gfx card,150GB HD, DVD+/RW drive, 15" LCD, 2.1 "surround" with a great sub. and I'm not that crazy about having the latest stuff, and It does what I want beautifuly, so I have no complaints. )

Anyway, backto my point. At the nvidia page, they said that the last and latest 5200FX driver from them came out in '04, and the latest nforce driver somewhere in late '06. I was wondering if there were any newer gfx drivers out there that would be/ work better than the official ones from the site?

All the newer Forceware drivers should work with that card.
But better just get the offical drivers. Newer drivers are optimized for the newer cards so you don't probably gain aynthing from using them. Infact they may even be slower.

I don't exactly know if there are any newer ones, but I used 52.16 orsmth on my friends FX5200 and those were the best.

Both drivers are latest and official drivers for the respective system.

I too had problems with the latest drivers on my old PC using a FX5200.

I download the 84.43 drivers from http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=10 (recommended by DEVIL 007) and all was fine.

Hmm, yeah, that's the one I installed just now.... I was asking this becasue I heard something about like.. "omega drivers" or something else the other day.
