I have these little things (Picture attatched) and they are surprisingly very good sounding.

The bass is there from low volumes. Everything is balanced just right. You hear EVERY strike of the drums or guitar string moving. There is quality throughout the volume range, very little distortion. Of course, that is if you are willing to invest ~$2000 in a sound system. This is what my brother has and they are amazing... you have no idea.
