Quote from vox-ace :How do you get triple screen with native resolution on 3x24" dells at 1920x1200 each?

You can do it with SoftTH, look few pages back and there is the guy who tried it. You do need a powerful GPU though, because you can't use SLI with SoftTH.

Vox-ace, your current 1900 xtx card isn't up to it. You will need an 8800 class graphics card (or possiby a 2900 if someone can confirm) to support resolutions over 4096 pixels wide. 3 x 1920 x 1200 is a lot of pixels though.

Hmm, yeah, that does look pretty bitchin. In fact, I just realised how much my 15" LCD sucks to play games with. I have 3 montors in my house, the 15" LCD, a 14" CRT, and a 16" CRT that I can probalby try this with, but from what I read, my gfx will no way in hell support this setup.
( I have a 5200 FX)

Maybe in a few years when I have more money.
its all good if you can afford this three moniter set up. just like these kids on lfs that brag about having a G25 its fine if you can afford one, although personally i see no point in shelling out 200 quid for a steering wheel and god only know how much for a three moniter display. i suppose you'd have to be a harcore gamer to have such a thing or just have nothing better to spend your money on. to be honest you dont need either to get the best out LFS or to be competitive, its just a waste of money. but each to their own
People, sorry I had no patience to read everything in this thread, so maybe the answer can be lost in any post, but my question is the following:

I have a SLI ready mother board, but at this moment with just one PCI-E VGA installed.

If I installed a second VGA, it will have 4 DVI connectors, which teorically permits to attach 4 monitors, at least 3. With a configuration like that, is possible to have the 3 monitors working togheter in a Horizontal Spam, without any aditional hardware or software?

nVidia drivers permitis since long time ago to have two monitors in many variations, but I completly ignore if it is possible to have three.

Apart from that, the options I have seen is:

- TH2GO from Matrox.
- Software from Kegetys.

Any other solution?

Thank you very much,

Silvio

its £140, and to get the most out of LFS you DO need one as it gives your better FFB, more realistic rotation etc.

I have one (well, technically 2, but Royal Mail lost one and are supposed to be compensating me) and i'm neither a "hard core gamer" or have "nothing better to spend my money on"
@X tempor

Big sturdy desk - £35 from Ikea (only if your existing desk isn't big enough)
Monitors - Second hand 22" CRTs, £60 each (or 120 total, you need at least one monitor anyway so only need two more for this setup)
Second graphics card - low end model to output to third monitor - £30
SoftTH - free

Total = 35 + 2 x 60 + 30 = £185

Not really that expensive. Unless you want it to be.
You're forgetting the proc/mobo/gfx card combo, which then (for me) also entails a new psu and a case.
The only extra bit of kit you need would be another graphics card, and a cheap, low end mdel will suffice. Unless your PC struggles with single monitor gaming then it's unlikely you'll need to upgrade anything.

Post above ammended.

all you need is a low end graphics card to plug in the second slot, 3 monitors and kegetys' software and you are good to go. An 1800XT is about the lowest graphics card to support 3x 1280x1024.

It is real! and they get far more elaborate than that
I found an old monitor in my base...

i still got a few problems...

BTW: omg is that really possible (so much monitors?)

i geuss you need quad graphics card...
He cheated, I count seven PCs under that desk.

Effing cool though.
Flight Simulator has a real multimonitor support. It can use all the monitors the computer has and you can even use monitors from other computers through LAN.
Imagine the radiation coming out of that setup! I bet you couldn't play for more that 5 minutes before you started to feel dizzy. :Eyecrazy: :drugs:
and lfs only supports 3?
LFS can technically support as many monitors as your graphics card will, which while technically being infintite is limited by the fact that atm graphics cards only like going up to 8000 pixels wide - however you could have 8 monitors set u if you had a lot of money, a little sense and a cray supercomputer
Technically LFS only supports 1 monitor. With some trickery that can be spread across multiple monitors.
Would be cool if you had

3 in front
2 on side
3 on back

A circle around you with monitors..

But that could only a dream for me
It's rather easier to make LCD hi-res glasses and put them on your head.

Owyeah lol, that's good too

I heard they really exist, true?

LFS on three Monitors is awesome
