looks like a great track still, bit of a lack of kerbs though! does that configuration include the old school corner, i couldnt pick it out from the footage?
they felt that if they just extended old circuit it would loose its charector ( think donington with the loop on it but wih it being the same length as the rest of the track) and that if they rebuilt completly they would in fact keep the old circuits charector even though practically none of it remained,

school still remains but is not on this configuration, it appears in the national 1.2 mile circuit.

full info on the 4 circuits can be found here

I imagine at some point it could start hosting BTCC - what licence grade is it?
Monoposto was there this weekend, but it was simply too far for us to consider going as a first event, so I am using the money to go testing locally instead. But it looks AWESOME - wish I had been there. Maybe next year
really goodwrite up in motorsport news (still prefer the old motoring news title)

nice quote from one of the organising club "90% of drivers said it was fabulous and the other 10% said it was very good"

kerbs due over the winter, new control tower / 30 pit garages in 2008/09 and brit f3 and gt want to go there in 2010

on a downer motoring news feel that anglesey may well be the last "new" circuit to ever be built in uk due to increasing planing problems
Well, the lack of kerbs was a serious problem. The dangerous and damaging run-offs were a big concern. And the abrasive nature of the track combined with a high level of dust meant that tyres (from soft 7" slicks to harder 4" road tyres) were being reduced from new to canvas in one event!!!!!!!!!!

From what I've heard it'll be quite good when it's finished and the track has mellowed, but it's not going to quite be 'the bees knees' even then.
