notanillusion stated currently is not the best time to buy, the "wait till s3 comes out" was supposed to be a question to notanillusion as you just showed that the earlyer you buy the more money you save, sorry for the confusion there.

Notanillusion's post was abit strange, I understand that he cant find good combos or people to race with, but why state that it's currently not the best time to buy S2, because as you XCnuse showed(depending where you live) inflation only see's the price of S2 rise.

Yea I realised you were correcting him, I just quoted you because there was chat inbetween all of that, just so I could pick up that discussion, no wrong in your post really.

I don't think it's strange to say it's not the right time to buy s2. Y'all's s3 reasoning make the assumption that the person would buy LFS anyway. I'm saying that currently is not the right time to buy LFS, and if things don't change better in terms of combos and such it's not worth it at all. I'm definitely not saying that by default it's better to wait.

You're not even talking about it economically then, while we are. You're just plain saying you think LFS is a ripoff basically.

LFS is a great buy for Euro's and not so good for USA.....

I think notanillusion (hi!) basically means that there is too much Aston National with GTRs, or Blackwood GP with FOX.

Well i agree with you, i thought those 36,- Euros would get me lots of full servers and always a nice car/track combo for me, but i was wrong, really wrong, so from my point of view the money wasn´t perfectly worth it..

However, I try to get along with that, what S2 has to offer, might be the best thing to do, instead of complaining.

Thats your logic, and everyone is entitled to have an opinion but most around here feel even at its current stage of development S2 is worth evety penny, just because you are frustrated with the development process and lack of combos does not give you the right to call someone an **** just becsause I could not interprete what you where trying to say!

Im sorry I may have mis-read your op. I just dont understand your logic in saying if S2 final does'nt have what you want you would not recommend buying it, I then went on to say "You'll have missed out" and so would potential future LFS'ers as S3 is not even here yet. You cant judge the final stage and LFS when its nearly two thirds finished.

Currently LFS doesn't really cut it for me because I haven't had enough consistent streams of good races on combos that I personally like, hence knowing that, if I had not purchased LFS at this time I'd think twice about it. Looking into the future, LFS still has huge potential once all the currently incomplete features are polished off, and new ones added. It is likely that LFS will provide a lot more of what I want, but it's not an absolute certainty, so in my opinion it might be better to wait until the next major patch that makes significant strides in the core elements and see how it pans out, just in case it does not, and the currently frequented content does not quite cut the deal.

I hope that clears it up a bit more.

Hey, well, patch Y just might change your mind about it all for some amount of time.

I haven't played LFS in a long while just because its almost impossible to find any races going on anymore, its just those city servers, which I do enjoy just to burn off time, but I kind of want to race, I'm thinking about joining LOTA.

i've been going through the same thing atter being in BF2 when i was G25-less, but last night i came back into W32, trying the GT300 class (You just wait...) on BL1 and i realised what i love about LFS - shame that atm the community is split over 2 patches, and that the same AS3/GTR combo's are the only ones left on W because of it

if really im bored of LFS,( i have it almost 2 months) why?
1. to much servers whit FXO, boring.
2. Gtr,always gtr .
3. there is no rally servers (if been then always been<UF1>)
4. max servers to play is about 70.
and much more .
