@ Jakg: Your essay was rather long , even though I will admit myself that DR is very similar to what MG was, we have a few different members and all in all it is much more fun and active!
we are ZWR (this is not a hijack btw) are looking for drivers, but when people see that they see it as a i'll apply in 5 minutes go on there server for 10 then want to be in the team..
..this is the problem i think, currently recruitmentment into ZWR takes about a month... almost a trial, its a get to know you and you to us kinda of thing. we are a ventrillo heavy team always talking communicating, racing help set-up driving techniques etc etc and we would look to recruit similar people, not just someone who wants a tag at the front of his name of the Kudos of being part of 'any team'
People should not rush these things, after all (most i hope) do not find a girl, make her your wife on the first day buy a house the next then find out weeks later, if you can actually get along with her and live together.....
best to start out slow and get to know each other first (ie new potential driver and prospective team)
I think I might be the longest-standing teamless racer in LFS. I've never been in a team, and, it's great! I would heartily recommend not joining a team to any of the new drivers around here.
Most of the team tags I see online I haven't a clue who they are anyway. I've certainly never heard of "Prawler".
I am seriously starting to believe that racer hero is just making fun of us all and especially the teams he joined.
I mean that cant be serious. He must have joined 5 teams now in 2 months. And in the last team he was in for ONE DAY.
I also cant understand why new drivers have to join teams right away. I also was teamless for more than half a year first to get to know the game and get at least a little bit experience and speed (NO jokes!!!!).
He was kicked out of last team for being to young.
Also Prawler is back up now, and with me back on wheel, im racing and making skins, im doing my best atm to give prawler a reputation (been smashing my pb's lol and they were not to slow before either )
And now we have got a new person that is going to join us (hopefully) we are going to test him sometime this week and so hopefully Prawler might get a 4th member
Also, Prawler's tag is [PWRL].
Kenneth, i seriously think you have made a big mistake ditching your own team, and i recomend that you think carefully about what team you are going to join and tell them your proper age, otherwise you might be kicked out for giving false I.D.
I left because our timezones are too far apart. That is part of the reason I left PRWL. I got kicked out of XPower racing because they missed in my application that i was 12.
Now could you all please stop talking about how this is a bad decision I have thought it through well. Now stop pestering me about leaving PRWL.
You n00b! complaining about DR
Thanks for the skin compliment
Only kidding i do agree with you, though i think it is not so much the teams aim as a whole or team aim for its dirvers it is the individuals who make the team. I use this as an example you are the 'techno geek' and to me seems you would fit in UKCT better for your title. I am not saying it is true, but the individuals needs to fit the team and get on well with the members. For me personally i get on with James (rowe) and it is fun, racing with him joking on TS etc. It is this that I think makes teams last. If the members become more than just people racing under a name and become 'friends' or who are even friends to begin with. For this to happen the member does need to have roughly same aims as the team, similar interest etc. The way to find this is to race with a team, talk with them before joining them.
