Patch X tomorrow - last evening to test!
Hello Racers.

I just wanted to bring your attention to the latest Test Patch W37.
Patch X should be released on Friday and has lot of changes, including :

- The number of cars that can join a race has been increased to 32
- False starts are now possible (LFS does not hold you at the start line)
- The addition of preload to clutch pack differentials, improving handling
- Skin improvements including high resolution premium skin download service
- Global class balancing system (currently applied to GTR and TBO classes)
- A new version of InSim including many improvements and a button interface

If you'd like to test these things, you may wish to try out Test Patch W37.
It would be good if you could do that for any time you can spare this evening, just to make sure there are no remaining problems.
It's the best LFS so far anyway so I guess you'll like it!

I tried to test the latest patch the other day but there were 0 people on any servers using it.

thank god it broke down.
Thats the problem at the moment, everyone knows the new main patch is just around the corner, so most are not bothering to update their servers with test patches. Either join an empty game and wait for it to fill up, or test other things offline.

Anyway, I just payed in my £3 for high res skin downloads since in all the time I have played S2 I have never had more than 6000 skins in my skins X folder, so I doubt I will download that many. Looking forward to some crazy 32 car action
Out of curiosity, is there anywhere that lists the handicaps? I'd like to apply them to my offline AI in hopes of curbing the FXO dominance.
That's an official incompatible patch?
What about the replays, WRs, etc. Reset?

Multiplayer incompatible, not replay/physics incompatible.

Its only multiplayer incompatible - the hotlaps wont be reset because its only a change to one part of the drivetrain, the replays can be played back in W
All right, cool.
Hope those WR times set with a clutch pack (is there any? ) can get even faster now. Locked diff is a bit of a "cheat" on "some" combos.

False start at 32 racers!
Hum I am not sure if it is a good idea.
It will not be easy to start a race.
I already imagine the many restarts needed.
Or then maybe just a time penalty could be fine.
The false start system is very good, people should not worry about that. Basically you get a Drive-Through penalty if you jump it a little bit, but if you just storm off past everyone your spectated.
I think we found a bug
