Has anyone used this mouse, or own one?

If so, pro's and cons etc as I am thinking of buying one...any info would be great
Cons I can say would be the price.
Also, its wireless is it not? I personally consider wireless mouses to already be a con because you have to get batteries so often and its a pain when you're in the middle of doing something important, and really doesn't have to be all that important, but say you're looking at porn and someone walks in and your mouse is dead... screwed now son!

Other than that it is typical Logitech, just plain expensive, I would search google products for cheaper prices.

Pros? Well, I'll say it again, it is made by Logitech, so I'm sure its made out of only the best and lasts a while.

Heck even check out that Logitech G15 keyboard which has a built in LCD screen so you can use LFS outsim.

Ever heard of ALT-F4?

You must not have tried Logitech's absolutely horrid headphones. Sound quality was decent for a $20 set but holy crap were they uncomfortable. The wire also lost contact inside the headphones after about a year, resulting in them not working anymore.

I'm with XCNuse on this one, though. I like lots of wires going in/coming out of my computer, much greater reliability and performance.
I already have a G15 but I had problems with the LFS outsim.

This comes with 2 batterys with a charger. So you can charge one while using the other.

The only problem I have had with cordless mice is that sometimes it doesnt pick up movement and I dont want to spend however much it is and have it cut out all the time.
G7 is a very good mouse, but is no wired and you would have to change the battery after 4 hours of intensive and uninterrupted gaming. So if you don´t play too much hours, could be fine.
However, there is the G5 (I have). It´s exactly the same but wired, and instead of batteries you can set up the weight of the mouse.
Erm well I have a MX518, similar, but wired, 1600dpi, not laser etc. However its a absolute pleasure to use, whether gaming or just using for general use. The grip and layout is perfect for people with long fingers like me, there are plenty of buttons, no pointless features that you never use, resolution is changeable on the fly which is nice (I use 800dpi usually). 1600dpi is more than enough for even the fastest FPS games, you might want it if you use a resolution larger than say 1920x1200, but other than that I see no need for a higher resolution.

Personally I wouldnt go for wireless, as others have said. Theres no need for me, and wired saves a lot of hassel.
So overall, a very solid, nice to use mouse.
I currently have the MX518 and it is a brilliant mouse. Everything is perfect. I just wondered if the G7 was brilliant-er. I always wanted to go wireless, but like I said...Most I have used cut out and are shite, I wondered if something more high-end would be better?
I doubt it. One day I bet we will have wireless mouses and will go back to roller mouses and the "gauges" I guess you could call them would be replaced with moters, and as you moved it around it charges the batteries inside, similar to how a prius charges its batteries on the go.

I have a Microsoft wireless mouse, it uses 2 AA batteries which i have to change once every 3 or so months. Very good mouse, very comfortable too!

I also have the Microsoft wireless keyboard which works flawlessly aswell and batteries last 4 months, never had signal problems and I have 2 mobile phones and bluetooth connection coming from one of them on constantly transmitting to my computer (when needed), wireless router next to my computer and none of these interrupt the signal in any way.

The only time it has done all I had to do was press the button under my mouse and it worked fine since.

So all I can say, if you want a wireless mouse/keyboard, buy a Microsoft one.

the annoyance factor of recharging the mouse is SEVERLY over-rated

Mine is an MX-1000 and works fine for a week on a charge

The G7 rocks, you'll love it
I manage many pro players and work with many others around the World. You wont find any of them using a wireless mouse over a wired mouse!

I think that speaks for itself!

They use Razer Copperheads/Diamondbacks, do they not?

There is a stigma attached to wireless, namely - they lag - however modern tech has virtually eradicated this problem - the only problem might be batteries, but imo it's 100x better as the cord just held me back as i kept needing to give it more slack
I have Logitech LX7 mouse. and I am very happy with this mice.
Batteries last about 4 month and works up to 3-4 meters from PC not like some from Microsoft which works just 1-1.5 meter. I even dont mention some A4Tech wireless ones.

I use a Logitech MX700 which is a fun mouse, even though you have to charge it about every 3 days. But I put mine on charge each night.
