I would enjoy this idea!
Quote from Maelstrom :Strangely the clutch works by itself when you let it go too fast or when you brake while you are in first gear! The game seems to takeover whenever your engine is going to stall! Just watch the pedals indicators

It's not new but i agree, that's a major issue

go in controls and turn off auto clutch :P
Quote from anarchypredator :Another problem too >> we can push the next gear in advance are in full throttle, and just push the clutch to pass the gear, it's not realistic...I do it but it s as i cheated...

There are some seqential cars in real life that do this, i can't remember which one but it was on top gear a few series back .

I'm sorry, but you are just plain wrong and may not understand what people here are talking about...

Yes, you can turn off auto-clutch, but it makes no difference other than you having to press the clutch pedal/button to shift... It still won't stall, as the auto-clutch can't be turned off completely...

And no, there is no gearbox where you can put the it into the next gear, clutch and the gear you selected magically appears...
Buses use gearboxes like that - they're called 'Pre-Selector' 'boxes

yes there is a car or some cars with it its called a pre selector gearbox, its more an old feature but does exsist

edit: sorry i missed tristans post, busses have them some trucks have them, they are rare on cars but do exsist on cars

I stand corrected then... Seems I just never saw any vehicle fitted with it... All the trucks and busses I came across were either fitted with a manual or a fully automatic gearbox...

what else can you do? if you push it in gear it won't change unless you put the clutch in - you put the clutch in, it changes

You (read: Scawen) could implement it better... While a bit annoying, the system in TDU is much closer to reality, it punishes you for not shifting properly, as you have to put the stick back to neutral and do it again until you learned to use the clutch...
I saw one video at google about a guy showing some basics of driving a manual gearbox, and then there is a bit where he drives GTR2(i think) with a G25, and shows what happens if you drop the clutch while in gear... The car jerked violently like it would in RL, it looked cool, didn't know you could do that, i only play with auto clutch in sims...

It probably isn't soffisticated, ie doesn't work in other gears, etc, but it's cool..
