i been just curious to know what LFS cars are inspired from ?

what i can say is : the 3 demo cars (GTi, XR, XRT) are definatly from the 80's..( i know it's easy ) but i cant figure out what car the XRT is inspired from...maybe a mitsu ? bout the GTi it kinda reminds me of that italian car " the UNO" hehe.

i think the FXO is clearly a BMW inspired and for the S2 cars u have what i call the porrari for the FZ5 (u got it )

so any ideas ? i'd really like to have some real pics showing the closest look..

XRT is Mazda RX7/Porsce 944
FXO is definately NOT a BMW because it is FWD and all the BMW mechanics will jump off a cliff before they make an FWD car.

i know bout the fxo but i was talkin bout the shape, especualy in the back...anyway, what do u think the FXO is inspired from ? one of those french cars or somethin ?

XRT - XRG with an aero kit and more power
XRR - You get the pattern
XFG - Probably a VW Golf GTi - Mk3 resembles it quite closely
XFR - Racing XFG
LX4 - Lotus 7
LX6 - Lotus 7
FXO - Opel Astra
FXR - Moooore and Harder
FZ5 - Porsche 911 - engine, overall shape, Ferrari 360 - engine layout, Dodge Viper - just a bit on the rear, Lotus Eliese - side

but really.. the FZ50 was inspired by a car back before pre demo of LFS.. which was a 911 lookalike (race version of course.. it had a wide body kit lol)

I don't think any one car was meant to resemble only one real car.
For copyright and because they weren't limited to copyrights. So the XRT can remind of the FC RX7, the old Supra.. The RB4 can mix and match cues for the Mistubishi GTO, the Supra, and the Impreza, etc

The FZ definitely looks like a mix of 350Z, Ferrari, and Porsche.
What's a bit strange is that it's RR, but doesn't have any vents.

My pics only show the Vectra from the side/rear anyway, but I think for the rear that's almost a perfect match. I definitely agree with you that the Civic's front looks very similar.

The FOX is a Formula Renault 2000. (or rather, inspired by, sorry )

last time I was on the Nordscheife I saw a Mitsubishi Starion, told my friend: Hey look overthere, it's a XR GT Turbo! He said: no man, that is a Mitsubishi Starionillepall

Can anyone do a photomontage of all these cars and make a "photo" of the GTi if thats possible?

I agree the RB4 GT has the same front as the Supra but the proportions are completely different. To me it looks a lot like a Celica GT4 (check out the rear spoiler, the side profile and the bonnet intake) with a Supra nose grafted on.

Also the RB4 and Celica GT4 are very similar mechanically.

The FZ50 and FZR are not Ferrari 550 based, they are rear engined, who gives a shit what it looks like? The FZ50 is closest to the 911 Carrera S.

i always tought there was no doubt, fz50 and fzr are almost exactly ferrari scaglietti! i frequently see a guy near my workplace with a ferrari scaglietti and i'm always stunned, it seems to me to be into an lfs race (me with gti)

the only difference is tires width: the scaglietti ones (rear tires) are much smaller than fz50/fzr

only front lights are from carrera, the rest is scaglietti, no doubt!
