MAC OS X - Windows 3d accelaration should be possible now..
Hi Guys,
just have been reading some news and there is product called
Parallels Desktop 3.0.

This version should now support 3D acceleration on Mac OS X.You should be able to run on any Mac OS hardware(not only with Intel CPU) Windows with 3D hardware accelaration if you have 3D graphic card.

Hopefully it will be enteresting and helpfull for some guys.
It doesn't work well at all. I tryed it the other day and it was very bad, and even crashed the entire system. Also, you do need an Intel CPU to run Parallels, due to the fact that it's not a Universal Binary, but a Intel only binary. Other games had the same resolve, and by the sounds of it, OGL games work, and D3D games seem to do worse, but neither were even remotely playable for me.

Also, VMWare has had 3d support prior to this, but it was still shite and unplayable. I guess a Octo-Core Mac Pro might be able to squeeze about... 10 FPS out of Parallels and VMware for LFS.
parallels sux, bootcamp is the only viable option for most people
isnt parallels just vmware for macos ?
virtualization still has a long way to go until its useful for anything other than toying around
Vmware and Parallels are both on Mac OS X, and do the same, but Parallels seems to have more stability issues in my experience.
