KLM sold their Boeing 747 for 1 Euro?!

I dare to bet no one believes me. But it's true. It's bought by Aviodrome aviation themepark.

A museum in germany also got a Boeing for 1,- i saw it on television.

If you´re able to transport it in your car´s trunk, it might be a good bargain

They were going to fly it, but it was "too dangerous"?

I stopped watching at that point. As far as I can tell it was a fully working plane and unless they were flying it into the middle of a field (which many airports still are), then I really don't see the danger - short of the several tonnes of plane being in the air. Of course, that's considered normal now.

the runway was (from what the comments say) too small for a safety margin, but possible - it sounds like bringing 200 tons of plane down needs a bigger braking area than they had

Didn't you heard that India doesn't have enough spare parts for their MiG fighter jets? If they have Boeing 747 I won't ride in it. The plane parts may suddenly fall off!
