To my suprise i went back to the Logitech website to check out the price on the DFP " Driving Force Pro " to only find that its been replaced by the Logtech Momo.

Now i have several questions on this Wheel

Which one is better?

Whats the difference between the newer looking Momo and the old Momo?

Which one will best benefit me?

Anything you guys like to add please go ahead.

Boy, you're asking for a lot. Be prepared to have everyone insist that their wheel is the best

IMO, if you have a chance to try either, do so before buying. I wont tell you what's best for you. Plenty of people own the Momo (majority of LFS racers?) and a lot own the DFP as well. You wont be at any disadvantage owning either, IMO. So, if realism is your thing, I'd suggest the DFP, if you don't mind having a smaller turn radius, go for the Momo.

I do like the Momo for F1 style racing... And the DFP does seem suitable for Drifting...

MY cousin has a MoMo but I don't know about the DFP...

It depends if you want to turn your wheel more than the car does (seriously whats the point?)

get the DFP!Its a very good wheel and has a 900 degree rotation.If u want cheap and bang for the buck go for the MoMo.If u love drifting and want some realisim get the DFP.

Technically they seem to be the same... The newly revised Momo, does it turn 900 degrees?

But the Momo itself seems to be more of a F1 type wheel, DFP, bigger less and more grip seems to be fit for drifting.

yea i mean momo is a great wheel but DFP...man its a great wheel.I seen alot of people recommend it

Technically the Momo was replaced by the DFP. Can't comment on which is better, my main criticism of the momo is the lack of feel in the pedals, which I hear is much better in the DFP. Either way you won't regret it .

i´ve got a momo racing and would not recommend anybody to buy it.
dfp is the way better choice.

Can u share in what way is the DFP better than the MOMO?

Momo does look alot like an F1 wheel, but i think 240 degrees is a tad too little...

The pedals are the same feel and the same design inside. More recent releases of the DFP pedals use a slightly more sensible design and components. These are known as "Revision 2".

The Momo wheel is a slightly larger diameter than the DFP and in my opinion the Momo is more robust and less noisy. However the DFP features 900 degree steering range which is really quite good when applied to LFS. For sure either wheel will be satisfying in LFS (and way better than keyboard or mouse due to LFS' great force feedback and the full analogue nature of the wheel), but perhaps the 900 degree steering range is hard to ignore. Honestly I think it is not an easy choice between the Momo and the DFP, they both have their strengths. I think most people would still choose the DFP.

simple , do you want to be fast , will say dfp. 1 am sometink mor then a half second faster with the cfp then with my momo.

why do you want to buy a momo.
the only different between dfp and momo is that dfp have a 900degree function in it.
but you can turn that off of course(i never tryed it)
the pedels and wheel turning when you have set it to normal degree it is al the same.

so you buy a dfp and you have a function more
when you buy a momo you have a function less.

btw. after 1 year i had problem with my momo and after my second momo it tryed differned products like thrustmaster. don't try this i have had over 15 thrustmaster wheels in 1 year. problems: pedels stock, buttom stock and wheel was making nouse/sound.
i have my dfp now for more then 1 year and i still like it.

so i will say dfp

Oh yea, i remembered that the Momo is prone to many problems like a lousy pedal or damaged optical sensors. Sometimes the lights even refuse to light up.

that´s why i wouldn´t recommend the momo to anyone anymore.
the dfp is just the better wheel for its price.

my momo pedals are spiking, the wheel itself is like... shaky. also the off-center-issue definitely needs to be fixed with the center fix, otherwise driving is a pain in the arse.

well, dfp is good enough... but for me it isn't as good as G25, and i do, however, have the dfp =)... (just there wasn't the G25 these days, when i bought dfp)
the main problem in dfp is that it's hard to rotate it fast =), no matter if there's force feedback on or off... =)
u can buy it if u want save some money, but i'd recommend to look at G25, to try it =) it's real monster =))))) (you'll see what i mean, when u try it) =))))))

G25 rocks, but it's triple the price ffs

Thanks for all the feedback, really helped me in deciding what exactly i wanted.

So i looked over the DFP and G25 and im impressed with the design of the G25. I am tempted in buying a G25 now, we'll see.

G25 if you can afford it. DFP if you can't.

I'm curious where this "Momo replaces the DFP" comes from, since I bought my Momo before the DFP was out.

I've had my Momo for many years now. I've never had a problem with the optical sensors in the wheel. The wheel is holding out perfectly.

My pedals have spiked, but a few simple fixes via Moszo's site (google search) fixed them up just perfectly. Haven't had a problem for years until I broke the locating nub on the pot. It's just glued in place now.

Momo Red is a good bet, it is made from much better quality parts than the standard one & if you can get one at the right price its a poor mans G25 .
