Now this.. this is very cool. Very well done.
Wow this is really cool. Great job! 9.9/10 Sometimes i get an illusion that it seems like you're sliding because of the camera angle and some turns.
9/10, really realistic!

-1 because to really make it night-looking, the dials need to be lit

I knew that I forgot to edit something :banghead:
How awesome would that be to play lfs like that *dreams*
Nice video too, I liked it alot.

Off topic - Is that a dubbed over sound or a different sound for the fxr because it sounds sooo good.

when recording videos with sound using FRAPS,the sound gets a bit distorted.

Default sounds, but mega distortion / clipping through recording with fraps I believe.

Edit: Oops, a bit slow...
That distortion gives nice "sounds just like real onboard video" effect but after a while starts to be kinda annoying for ears
I think this is a lot of fail, because real night onboard videos actually have video instead of random darkness.

Most of all this one is basically audio with black background. Everyone should go make videos with 100% darkness, "realistic night onboard". Anyone who's seen real footage of night racing will concur this is a load of fake and fail. Play LFS with monitor brightness and contrast set to zero and you have "a dream".

I think his editing is slightly more advanced than "audio with black background"..
Sarcasm trap...

Would a blindfold solve your problem?

@Thunderhead, awesome video, once you hit a hill though I figured out exactly what all you had done, I had an idea, but it still works perfectly imo, I think it came out perfect looking.
Awsome
Awsome movie, really like the effect, eventhough you can really see far ahead
Nice movie dude! but yeah, seems like your FXR head lights need replacing, get some Xeons(sp?) . you should have made a rabbit run out on the track at the end ahahhaha 9/10
this is what id like to see in Y patch? a night race mode, sweet vid

Xenons don't help, as many people believe, Xenons are actually WORSE because they are filled with Xenon gas which when electricity is run through it it produces a blue light, which produces less visible light to the human eye.

Go down a street one night to where you know a blue light is, and compare it to the orangish halogen lights, and you can easily see the difference in how much light is produced.

Also, you could be thinking of projector headlights, which are those glass ball things that appear dark most of the time, many cars have them nowadays (some cars had them back in the 80s too). They often have xenon lights behind them, but the light isn't lost into reflection as normal headlights are, they are instead refracted by the glass ball producing light in the most precise angle as specified by .. whoever specifies how high headlights can be angled.
Yeaah Nice Movie Dude!
too bad its a edited vid it looks really cool man!
I want to try this. Did you use Sony Vegas?

Looks incredible and real btw! Reminds me of GTR2 night. I hope real LFS night looks this good.
That's awesome! Now i really really want LFS to have a night mode* !

[* ofcourse with it fading from day to night and back again.. would be awesome for endurance racing]
BIIIIG bump but has anyone got the high quality version and could it be uploaded somewhere as i would like to download it again.

Thanks in Advance. Jason.
Damn you! Now look what you did!

Now I want the devs to bring darkness to LfS!
