Some may still secretly, without admitting that they would, be interested to test out it.
I hate how I have not enough time to learn how to make all material settings and such, so there is nasty bug in windows for example, but that is why it is WIP and alpha.
If someone is interested to work with it and if that someone is reliable and does not disappear after 1 week, then that someone can contact me as I could use a hand with this

ajp71, if you get real feel plugin (a must I say, it is different game with it) then remember to put force feedback level to LOW so it does work properly, man that makes huge difference how game feels, much better feedback with it.
DX9 and full details is what I recommend if someone tests, there are nasty bugs in lower detail levels.
Wow with the real feel plug it suddenly feels like a car (and not dissimilar to LFS)
Fantastic work here JTbo physics feel amazing and totally unlike most ISI mods.
Few things to point out:
- The windows are too dark (not sure if that's what you mentioned in the read me about materials problems), headlights seem a bit excessive on a bright day
- The dials are way too dim, in the interest of usability maybe there could be a set of high contrast needles? ATM they blend into the gauges when the lighting at an angle.
- The external rev counter only shows in the external view, not in the cockpit so it's not terribly useful atm
EDIT - for those interested LeMans 72-86 is out, going to try it, looked awesome in the screenshots and has gone straight into the hall of fame so hopefully it will live up to the promise.
Tried LeMans and it is fantastic, looks really atmospheric, in a kind of way nothing I've seen since GPL has managed and is very light weight, but equally very highly detailed, obviously a lot of optimisation has gone into it. I'm still looking for something fast and fun to use round LeMans and it has become clear to me that Volvo did not design the 340 to have a 800 bhp V8
So I've been looking through my other mods and so far JSC performed fine under realfeel (and got me passed the double ton), Kantti and the Saleens were very different though, maybe explaining some of the 'physics' issues with rF?
400Bhp track version of Volvo is in plans, but we will see (engine does not support turbo engines and makes it bit silly to use 400bhp turbo engine specs), ~200bhp version with BMW 300 series brakes (actually brakes there) and V360Cup suspension(adjustable shocks, lower and stiffer) I have lying around somewhere, but that has not with latest physics yet.
I will change tires a bit as it has now bit too much traction and front suspension will get bit of camber gain/loss as it should have, but it is 0 currently, hopefully that will make it to work nice.
rFactor don't like weights under 1000kg too much, it seems that then it creates snap oversteer even tires would be good other way. Also tire diameter greatly affects how they do handle, one big issue is that bigger the tire is less weight it can handle, smaller tires can handle more weight and weight is downforce + cornering/braking/accelerating + car weight, after some not so clear limit there will be crazy spikes in physics engine, don't know if this is true with light end of stick too.

Oh yes that external rev counter, that is bit embrassing as I tried to remove it from this version, but got only errors and could not remember how on earth that had to be done, ok now I remember again, but that indeed was going to be removed as I have not found a way how to get it to work as an upgrade so that it would show needle in it when upgrade is selected. Cockpit.ini seem to be one that can't be changed by upgrades.ini unfortainly. Also I did hoped to get white dial backgrounds as an option, but that requires also bit more of work, in practise need whole cockpit to be changed for such small thing.
I have probably said this before but, modding in rFactor was not planned, they just left few places open, that is why it is mess, that is why there is so many bad mods, plan it well and don't just leave doors open and it will be good.
Well, most will be good or at least there is possibility to make mods good without spending too much time on them, 1.5 years so far to Volvo, mostly to physics, but graphical side have taken few weeks too.
MJ is modeller that has made Volvo model and he is working with new better model for it at the moment

Dark screen is because of shadow setting in gen file or material setting in max, don't know exactly but that is one things that will get sorted.
Scrabby, it seems that server is not online now. It is not real server just he hosting it sometimes so it comes and goes. rfactor serverspy is good tool to check out what is up and what is not.
This morning at 7am my time there was already over 500 downloads, would think that someone would be online at sometime with it
i wanna go online with rfactor, but whenever i join a server, the track loads, i see the garage bit for a second, and then it goes to the main screen thing of rfactor how come?
