There are some situations where I would like to replace the blue flag and yellow flag message with alternatives, such as WAVED BLUE FLAG when a driver has joined mid race or has been too long and is too closely infront of a leader. I'd also like to replace yellows with DOUBLE WAVED YELLOW FLAGS when multiple cars are stationary up ahead.

Currently the default messages take priority over RCM's. Can this be changed please?

I maybe should put this in improvement suggestions, but it was related to insim control software, so I was in two minds and put it where I thought God Jnr. might see it .

Also I could really use a way of finding out the currently loaded layout filename

Well it will be really quite a long time before anything is changed. I think you'll need to save your requests and give them to me in the next test patch stage, because I just can't write down all the requests that will come in between now and then. I'd prefer if everyone could keep their requests to themselves, if possible, when it's not a test patch stage. Otherwise requests could be lost or forgotten.

I am surprised there is a RCM priority issue because RCM's priority was recently raised. Please can you be quite specific when you say the default messages have priority, to save me looking in the code every time. But I guess you mean that blue flag and yellow flag currently have priority over RCM messages. As far as I remember, RCM have one of the highest priorities.

Actually Scawen, whilst in the bath I had a bit of an idea I dont need to 'replace' the default messages at all. I can simply add to them with the button interface ! So that's what i've just done and tested and it all works ! YAY.

I could still use the layout thing though.

becky, can you give me more details on this, because you know, i have problems with the RCM as well during the cautions. when lapped people don't see the RCM FULL COURSE YELLOW and stuff.

Fischfix : I don't think Becky can tell you any better how to use buttons, than InSim.txt can. You need to read up in InSim.txt in a section called "BUTTONS".

You can place buttons on the screen in any position - but one tip : a "button" can just be plain text without an actual button, if you don't specify ISB_LIGHT or ISB_DARK then your button is just text on the screen.

Fischfix, a server side application could give you alternatives to an RCM and place large coloured text on a different part of the screen. Having done your events I know what you are referring too, and yes, it can now be solved.

Please dont ask me to write it right at the moment though! For you it's a new feature, I have missing features to fix first !

i will not ask you becky, because i know in what kind of "work" you are a the moment. and as far as i know, this "work" needs the time and will also bring lfs a step further.

How about giving us the option to overwrite or set the RCM priority?

0 - Live For Speed Highest Priority.
1 - InSim Highest Priority.
...
9 - Lowest Priority.
