hey iam new to LFS and i was looking through the main site when i came across the older versions of LFS. Great fun and made me laugh, then it hit ME! how about a tournament that goes through all the major changes and always keep the same car and bl gp. would be so much fun.

Sounds like fun, someone would have to patch up the original demos where BL was even more different, unfortunately I can't because Vista doesn't run even S1.

yer hope someone knows how to do it/ is willing to i would love to but no nothing about that kind of thing.

isnt something with the sound engine it woks fine on vista you just cant hear it

This sounds like a sweet idea. I'd be in for it.

Somehow I got it to work, sound doesn't work, but as said earlier by someone, Vista won't let you unlock it.. dumb, owell.

I did discover however that by running it in compatibility mode in Windows 2000 rather than XP SP2 I got 10 more FPS at the least, and 50 more at max. Strange huh.

Not strange.. XP has more crap in it that slows down your machine.

yes, i have XP and it is way too slow with everything, it is so annoying

I don't know how the compatibility modes (not that they work well) work, but 50 FPS is a huuuuge difference.

Going to try Windows '98 just because I can.
Well with '98 I could hear more (still choppy of course), but it remained the same FPS as the 2000 did.

youre gonna have to contact taa first
only the very first lfs versions had support for custom master server ips ... the later ones had it hardcoded and with the server switch they wont work anymore

does anyone now how to get this done?
