If I make a new skin what size should it be
Maybe this is written somewhere but I havent made a skin in a long time so I'm confused. I know you can pay and get high-res downloads. So if I make a high-res skin, do I have to make a high-res version and a low-res version, or just high-res? And what is the max?

I guess I am asking, if I make the skin high-res, will it automatically send out a low res version to the people that didnt pay for high-res skins

OH and should I delete my old skins (which folder)
All car skins that are uploaded to LFSW must be 1024x1024, all helmets must be 512x512.

I always skin at a higher resolution (2048x2048) and use that in game, and upload a 1024 version with the exact same name to LFSW.

There is no max AFAIK, but keep it in the 8-base system (512, 1024, 2048, 4096, etc etc)

if you wanna make a high res skin that shows no tearing then you need to have it as the ratio 1.25 to 1.

MAke your skin in 2560 x 2048 resolution to get the correct aspect of the car, then resize to 1024 x 1024 for LFSWorld upload

That trick does not work perfectly Dru. Each car is different in its stretching (and IIRC, the UF cars do not stretch at all) so that is not a good point to make as a blanket statement.

[EDIT] Also, the front and back have different stretching than the sides, and the wing endplates on the GTR cars I don't think are stretched either. Also, different parts of the car stretch differently, as well. You have to compensate for stretching on a per-situation basis, really.
