Why not make 12 PPS in Multi-Player instead of just Network? sure it would be more bandwidth heavy, but if you limited it to say.... 16 cars with PPS 12 it would use the same as 32 with PPS 6.

For movies sake, more PPS would be great. Would also make racing a little bit more fun since its all smooth and stuff
I agree, maybe a warning telling people that it will suck up your bandwidth before you enable anything higher than 6 as anyone joining the server would quickly need a fast download and upload speed once the people start coming in.
What bugs(?) me at the moment is how un-smooth the driver's hand movements are- the car movements are relatively much more smooth. I wonder why that is? Obviously there's a smoothing trick going on there with the cars, but I guess you can't do that with the wheel movements (because then it probably would already have been done). Anyone care to enlighten?
There is no smoothing as such on either the car or the hands position. The car is driven in LFS given the current steering and pedal inputs, these are updated and the position and speed resynched everytime a packet arrives, so jumping is very low due. There is apparently no "wheel speed" information in the network packets, which is why the steering wheel is never moving, but jumps to a new position with every packet. Adding such information would visually smooth out remate steering inputs and might even further smooth out the cars.
