Pit Stops - Tire Changing
Why is it that when you stop and get new tires it does
front left tire, then front right tire, then rear left tire and then rear right tire?
IRL wouldn't the pit crew have several people changing tires? so all 4(or less) are being changed at the same time, instead of one at a time.
Not sure about damage but could be the same thing.
Doesn't seem like to hard of a change, not really high up on the priorities list, but just thought I'd voice my opinion.
Depends on the level of racing, doesn't it? F1 has 206 people per car, NASCAR has over the wall limits, and some lower reaches have one bloke with a £2.99 wheelbrace from Wilkinsons.

I would like some degree of control over stops and changes, but at times I'd also like to have different tyre compounds on the right and left, that's just the way I am though.

That's the trouble with multiple classes in one game.. they all have ways of doing things that may be not allowed or just not possible in other classes.. I think LFS should have a pitstop that's a mix of them all.

As far as I know, different tyre compounds on a car is illegal in most (if not all) racing classes So I don't think LFS would get that...

A lot of people do allready have different front and rear tires because soft tires on a front wheel driven car do great at the rear, but heat up too fast in the front. Is that iligal IRL?

As far as I know.. I could be wrong.. but that's what I always here.. On my r/c car I also use different compounds front and rear (hard front for oversteer and soft front for understeer etc.)
+1 for original post

If it could be implemented in a way that different classes have different pit stops (tire changing on the STDs and TBOs would take a lot longer than on the GTRs or the single seaters), I'm in favour of the suggestion.

That could work.
