Hi guys !

Posting about a problem that has me and my friends scratching our heads for a whole evening.. I have recently bought the game, and since then i can't connect to their demo server.. while for some other demo servers it works fine !
Doesnt seem to be consistent with patch levels (0,5Q, P, P2...), it just doesnt work for some, including the one im most interested in :-(

Ive chosen the "demo" mode from the menu and even tried locking LFS (disabling S2 and back to demo mode). At this point i have no idea.

Any hint more than welcome..

it could be a firewall or router problem possibly; that will keep you from joining the server (but you will see it on the list [i think.. maybe not])

I don't see it in the in-game browser, but I do see it on lfsworld. If I try a direct connection without browsing servers, it says "host not known to master server". (but as I said it shows on lfsworld..)
Trying to connect with the "local network" options fails as well.
On my side there is no firewall, on the server side its open to everyone, and others are able to connect.
I'll try to download the demo again in a separate dir and try from there.. maybe that'll help

Sometimes there can be an internet router problem somewhere between two computers. You should try to ping or tracert their ip address to see if it seems to be contactable from your computer.

tracert and ping look fine. It could be many things network wise, so just one final question : How can I get the message "host not known to master server" when I specify the IP, while others are connected, and the server shows on lfsworld ? This I can't understand.

I'll keep searching and will post here if I solve the problem. Thanks anyway for reading through and your previous replies.

Despite these issues I have to say I'm still having a blast with LFS
