Need DFP help
i just bought a new Logitech Driving Force Pro steering wheel and pedals, but im having a problem calibrating it seems to be until i go into the game and the force feedback or something keeps knocking the calibrating off centre and its all gone a bit wierd, ive downloaded the drivers from the logitech website and tried it with or without the drivers, same thing - any1 know where i can get some better drivers or has any1 had the same problem? i would really appreciate the help
it appears as if the locking isnt working correctly, can ne1 help?
#3 - Bean0
I'm using the latest wingman drivers with no problems, available here.

And these wheel settings...

Control Panel:
Overall Effect Strength: 100%
Spring Effect Strength: 0%
Damper Effect Strength: 0%
Enable Centering Spring = OFF
Report Combined Pedals = OFF
Degrees Of Rotation = 270°

In Game:
Wheel turn: 270°
Wheel turn compensation: 1.00
Force Strength: 20 - 40 (depends on car)

Hope this helps.
Mmmm, maybe this would be better in the Beginner's section ?

Once you know, this isn't usefull to many people and it's mostly
a problem from inexperience with LFS, imo.
it happens out of lfs in windows as well, wont lock off the degree locking doesnt work either.. for example if i put the lock to 200* it will go to 200* get a lil bit harder than just carry on going on around to 900* and also with ff i cant turn against it and it be registered, if i turn against it the wheel will turn but LFS will not rezognize it and it wont take effect against the ff. It also happens on windows if i put spring on or other stationary ff effects. its very hard to explain what im on about but im hoping some1 will get what i mean. Im pretty sure its an hardware problem, but not 100%. i think i shall ring up logitech and ask about it or take it back to pcworld n see if i can get another.

thanks for your help
Im pretty sure its hardware related, going to ring up logitech and/or take it back. looks like its another mouse session for me then.. :<

Did you try it on an other USB port ?

Cause my wheel goes bonkers if I plugged in a joystick at port 1 (the port which is left on the backside) and plugged in my dfp at port 2...

If I switch them around it is all ok

you mean if you set the lock to anything other than 900° or 200° (you should try that again at 200° you should get a solid lock) all the wheel does when you reach that lock is push against you with its ff motor ?
thats the way its supposed to be
i took it back, got a new one and it works fine now. Thanks for your help anyways
