What benefit is this to a demo racer? :S

They can use it as a ... you know.

Does anyone else here have Vista and can run S1 (beyond the start menu)?

Nope of course not you dumbo! To demo racers, 0.3H is for TWEAKING PURPOSES! I had a great time tweaking the demo cars only of course.

I tried it without any patch to unlock the 0.5Q version, but I was wondering that my firewall didn´t ask me to allow the traffic for LFS(Q).

Then I searched and find this tread.

I was happy, as my "Kasperky Antihacker" asked me to allow traffic, but unfortunately LFS(Q) brings me the message:

Unknown command

if i wanna unlock!

If it says "unknown command" it probably means that the master got the request, but didn't answer it correctly

I buyed me a new PC last month. On my old pc there were 4 or 5 older LFS versions unlocked, to be able to watch all the replays in my mpr-collection. I tried me to make some movies on the old pc, but fraps & co only works fine in 400x600pixels on the old one.
And with the new pc fraps has 30frames with trackIR at 1200x1600pixels, but im unable to unlock the older versions and watch the replays.

So I think there should be an unlock-patch for every different physic-version to be able to watch all saved replays!

0.3e uses a different method of unlock (not username and password, but the "old" key system). Basically I can't do it without creating my own fake master and key generator.

There are, of course, other ways you could unlock it, but I'm not going to advocate that.

Okay, so I searched filefront for the full S1 0.3H BUT I only found the demo version (and last time I tried to unlock it, it said must have full version [lfs downloads section]) could someone PLEASE redirect me to the full S1 0.3H pwease

I need an unlock-patch for replay compatilbe LFS-Versions after PatchQ and before PatchX.

I have hunderts of not-playable Replays for this versions!

It is right which it is marked “Unlockable Error” when I try to open the S1 contents on patch S1H, you do not know a solution has this problem?

when i try to run the file for the patch, i get this message

"could not write to data folder - is lfs correctly installed on your hard drive?"

ok, so i moved the Data and Docs folders into the same folder as the patch, but then when i open it, it is not very good, and it wont let me use s1 cars, and there are missing textures it looks like

You won't be able to use S1 cars without a licence, it's as simple as that.

You need the 0.3H or Q or whatever version of LFS. Copying the data structures from different versions will not work.

Errr, yeah. Because you need to unlock it with a licence. These patches simply make it possible to communicate with the master server at its new address.

It would allow you to race 0.3H (for example) online, in demo mode. If there were servers running it. Otherwise, no. Why would the developers advocate what would be a crack on the official forum?

No, you won't beable to use the S1 cars (anything above the standard demo cars). You will beable to use all the demo cars once you do a number of single player races to gain points. Get enough points and you unlock the XRG and XRT.

All these patches do are enable the older versions, which didnt use name resolution, to talk to the master server. It makes no other alterations to the game and are no real use other than to see what LFS used to be like.

I have a weird problem, in that I'm not getting any credits for finishing races.

Any ideas?
