Wheel Blur
Purely a cosmetic thing I know AND you'd not really notice unless you were spectating, but...

1 or more blurred wheel objects that replace the static ones after the wheels are rotating a certain speed. It always looks odd when you are looking at cars and the wheels look like they aren't going round, especially when the framerate exactly coincides with the wheels rotating one spoke angle (if that makes sense..)
+1, as in the countless threads before this one...
I'd like to add that the disc rotors should also spin with the wheel, as they currently don't spin at all.

+1 to that allso

And allso would be nice that the disks get red/glow under braking
What I'm thinking is that what if people with low-end computer will lag with the wheel blur. Unless there is a option to switch it on/off. Otherwise nice idea.

not gonna happen until we have disk temp modeling and brake fade on the physics side

Its doesn't have to be actual post-processing motion blur - just a texture with appropriate transparent parts. It would actually be less detailed than a stationary wheel as it wouldn't have to show individual spokes.

I think the issue for the blur could be done better by making the spokes on the rim transpartant as they spin faster. No need for extra textures ect and should solve the blur issue

Yes it would be nice and more realistic for the rotors to spin but that is noticeable only if you add these fancy brake rotor textures…

As for the blur effect when the wheel is spinning fast… I cant understand why are you referring to that. LFS does not use that technique... simbin games do… and I personally find that blur effect, silly and annoyingly noticeable…

nothing is going to lag then, because LAG means connection issue.
I have no Idea what this thread is about, so YES! sign me up for that too!!!
