Well basically was down in the local video store today which they havine computers there used for gaming and the net, cyber cafe

Well anyway today was the day were they introduced gaming into the video shop games such as half life 2,Counter strike+Cs source anyway more to the point I know the manager well and she was asking is there any online games that I would recomend and of course I told here Live for speedshe was asking this because they want to introduce more games to the computer's etc,got talking a bit more about the game showed her the site plus this great friendly forum and she was really interested but I wasn't sure could it be done with the one set account

Would it be possible to do this she asked me would I help her get the accounts and I said off course yes .

Would it be possible to buy 6 or 7 account's which would be called Power Video1,2 etc..

But then I thought of the problem off unlocking each time so basically not sure if this great idea is possible

Help would be great..... then next plan is too get them to buy a plonk of G25's c

I would email the Devs about it, they may have something in place already for web cafes.

Ok cheer's mate
Time for the LFS "Cyber Cafe" mode to be implemented.
I showed her screenis, vid's on youtube and she was astonished she loved it
Emailed the dev's hopefully positive response
The problem with this is that people who use the cyber cafes really have nothing to loose. I could see this turning out badly for online play unfortunately. It's a lot easier to ruin someone's race than someone's terrorist hunt.

Yep could be a problem with one persion getting band then the next user wanting to play on server discover's he is banned for someone elses actions

Why would they have to unlock it "each time"?

When computers restart in a cyber cafe don't they reset all changes ??
Dunno, never been to one, it makes sense though.

I'm sure there would be a way around it though.

I'd think they would only play in their LAN?
Yep might be better to just restrict to lanall there other games are online play.

get stuck in there my son!

i have to agree with maggot though, i think that randomers wandering into lfs could be seriously damaging to online play. i know of course this would be a very small amount of players, but if al computers are located in the same location you might find all the "randomers" will join the same server, and no doubt theyl probably join something fairly full and ruin alot of races. mibi not on purpose, but you see the point.
As a server operator i'd treat each account as an individual, not knowing any different, if pre-informed of the user names i'd just pre-ban them all as it defies the purpose of the licencing system i've been working on. Likewise, this defeats the purpose of the cafe doing it.

However LFS is unique in that it does have an active LFS demo community, so I can still see a place for the game in such a site.
I was thinking off just running them to LAN only too stop hassle on S2 and maybe run some fun event races down there on lan
I don't think there'd be enough people there to validate LAN races, honestly.
Yep I see your point, there is 12 computers if correct most of my mates love LFS just don't have the net or time for it but they would love to have the odd race or two now and then.

Anymore ideas would be great guy's

But when the AI are improved there will be potential.
Just limit them to demo servers, where nobody cares as well.
Could she also setup a server so that the cafe would have their own server? Allow other racers to connect to it (ie, don't make it private) so even if only 2 are on, others from the LFS racing community might join the server.

The problem with this would be limiting the cafe to only it's own server.
I agree with shiny red cobra and mrodgers, they seem to be the best solutions tbh

Make the Shortcut to LFS only join the game and hope they don't find the "Leave" button?
Or get every other server to ban the cyber cafe so it can only go into it's on server.....

Probably. But the default state would be set AFTER LFS has been unlocked. It should work.
