This is a game, and games are supposed to be fun. Realism is great to a point. IMO the forced cockpit is too realistic, but what does the community think.
Hooray, another cockpit thread - to add to the three we already have, all of which are still active and still on the front page (that's not counting the original Patch X10 thread) ...
So Hankstar, how is your winter going? Our summer has been rubbish so far - record rainfall (apparently Sheffield recorded a record month for precipitation not just for June, but for any month ever recorded!).
Good thanks Kev. Heard about your weather from a mate in London, sounds nice!
It finally got cold here in Melbourne last week Until then we were copping pleasant temps up to 15 degrees C, maybe 10 after the sun went down, down to maybe 5 at night. Now it's, well, it's about the same but the 5 degree minimums often last well into the morning, sometimes until coffe break. Still gets to 10+ during the day. It annoys me when people complain how cold it is. Unless you're walking around in shorts it really isn't that bad. Melbourne's winters have been really mild for the last few years and autumn has barely been distinguishable from late summer. At least we're getting a bit of rain though - some of our reservoirs are nearly up to 30% capacity again. Bit of nasty flooding "oop coontreh" (if it's not drought it's bloody floods for our farmers) but nothing too devastating.
Poirqc - the skiing is always good in New Zealand  Choice bro!
That concludes the Antipodean weather. And now, for the sport report, it's back to you, Kevin ... and how about that flying Finn eh?
Heh, I just assumed, silly me. Hell, last time I was in NZ it was summer anyway
Our slopes seem to be getting plenty of snow - our bass player had to cancel a boarding trip a week or so ago because of friggin blizzards! I guess you can have too much snow after all ... don't ask me though, I'm a snow n00b - a sn00b
They wouldn't know bad weather in London if it ran for mayor and charged them all a daylight-robbery tax for driving their cars into the business district.
Yes, the reports are in: He's quick, but he's slack as a bag of knackers and aled up to the eyeballs most of the time. His famous flared nostrils also seem to be considerably wider in light of the recent "Stepneygate" fiasco. We caught up with a few drivers to get their opinions:
Nick Heidfeld: If you look at the statistics from when he was my teammate, you'll see I was quicker.
David Coulthard: If you don't look at the statistics from when he was my teammate, I can tell you I was quicker.
Mark Webber: I am descended from pommy crooks and I apologise unreservedly for the crimes of my ancestors.
My mum's living in Paynesville and she copped all the flood. That'll teach her for complaining about no rain all the time! Actually, she really got used to the way things were before, and now this new rain thing means she'll have to adjust and she doesn't really want to do that as she's getting on in years and is admittedly rather comfy in her set ways. Now she's stuck indoors all the time, and complains she can only peer out the loungeroom window when before she could do whatever she wanted, except the weather sucked back then as well... oh well
Well, being that Webber isn't from South Australia (no filthy Pommy parolees there, just free German farmers and Cornish miners and Welsh - whatever it is they do in Wales'ers - close harmony singing? Breeding useless tiny orange dogs? Rugby?), I'm not surprised Webber has soiled criminal DNA.
However, that begs the question - why the bloody hell doesn't he drive it like he stole it? Bloke needs to play a little more GTA and little less sodding GuildWars!
In his defence, when the car is returned to its rightful owners it's usually not working any more.
Mods: In future could you please change the thread title once we've successfully stolen it? These obscure thread titles make it difficult to remember where I'm having a conversation.
Kev, I thought it was the senility and alcoholism that confused you ...
+1 for the re-name too: it would be a shame to lock such a perfectly entertaining (and informative) thread.
@ Fragile, that's the Kiwis you're thinking of - however I can neither confirm nor deny that. I was in NZ last year and saw nothing of the sort. Plenty of hobbits though. Randy buggers they are too!
Please use one of the miriad of threads already in existence to discuss the server-side option of cockpit view and please use the off topic section to discuss the weather, general gossip, exchange geographical information, discuss over-hyped F1 drivers etc.
