The fact is that NASCAR exists in a country (and largely caters to a specific stripe of citizens of that country) who are extremely uptight about morality (at least on the surface), and thus NASCAR is very uptight about anything that might tarnish its family-friendly image. And that's to say nothing of the penalties that the FCC will hand down to the broadcasters and potentially to NASCAR itself. The stunned silence from the FOX/TNT broadcast crew when a driver lets an f-bomb drop on the radio is hilarious, but you can really feel the fear hanging in the silence.
