Nokia N770 - Any Good?
I'm thinking of swapping my trusty Dell Axim x51v for a Nokia N770 "Internet Tablet", as i only use my PDA for Internet/Hotmail/Messenger, however i wondered if anyone thinks this is a bad idea? And does anyone know if you can get an MSN Messenger app for it?

Jakg
It`s a good phone, with a lot of functions.
Go for it

Btw, maybe you should buy a phone that had access to the LFS forum?

Most modern phones have access to LFSForum.
Sorry... just me that is lost in time then

Edit : WELL THEN GOOD FOR YOU JAGK :P

...erm, it's not a phone, its an "Internet Tablet" that surfs t3h internets via WiFi...
What, a Nokia device you can't call with huuuuuuh?
W00t?

But I belived... Darn.. must have confused it with a other phone :/ Belived it was something else.

Well sorry Jakg, can`t help you out then.
But I bet it`s a beast on LFS-surfing!
Well it seems it really is a Internet browser only, not the newest either. Jakq really is becoming the lonely PDA gadget guy.
The N800 is a better device - with one exception, the lack of a hardcase cover Oh, and the price. Blimey. I hadn't realised how cheap the 770 was all of a sudden... :o Tempting..

Damn you jakg. I may well end up spending part of the cash I'd put aside for the openmoko phone for this

£78 for a screen bigger and a higher resolution than my PDA which was £350 new a year ago. Madness!

How much be the 880?
No, you shouldn't get it, you spend too much time online anyway..

But it's really cheap compared to some other tablets and phones, which can do the same.

on the 2nd i have a Foot operation that leaves me basically imobile for a month, so for a month i'll basically be sitting at my PC/TV, and i just thought that this would not only be better than my PDA for this job, but also net me £75 for changing

Should I also mention that it's entirely open source (software) powered

Sorry, typo on my behalf - I meant the n800. Significantly more; 270GBP from Nokia themselves. Somewhat higher priced than the 770 was originally as well. It does come with built in GPS though.
