Do you want a DNF count on player stats
Would you like a DNF (Did Not Finish) counter added to player stats.

This would be paired up with number of race starts to give a % for the number of races that people complete.

All the fights after the reset button change made me realise that this would be a great addition to make people WANT to finish a race and hence learn to drive so they CAN complete a race.

It would also make restarts after T1 occur less as each restart would add a DNF to EVERYONE in the race. So it would make people want to push on if they didn't take too much damage etc.
Can't say I'm too bothered about LFSWorld stats, but I did always wonder why DNFs weren't recorded. +1
i guess all that would lead to a cleaner racing in generall, but as long as that close racing collision problem isn't solved i'd rather stay unnoticed, since you could be rendered DNF because of the collision problem while fighting/defeating a position.

Pretty useless.

Why not focus on making the game better, rather than little silly things that make no difference.
It's not a question, it's a suggestion.
+2 Me thinks its a good idea.

How many times have you had to throw the race because someone crashed you? Therefore, this wouldn't tell anything about how clean one is... In addition, disconnects are DNFs too, are you responsible for lagging out (ok, some are, but most aren't)?
One could argue that all the stats are essentially useless, and many do not find them interesting. For those who do, however, more complete stats are always a bonus and preferred.

Why should I get a DNF if I'm still on-track and didn't vote for a restart?
Well, maybe not DNF count, but killed engines or gearboxes would be fun when we get them.

Yep. See your point there. How about...

- If you vote for a restart then the race is counted and you get a DNF.
- If you dont vote for the restart then the race is not counted and you dont get a DNF.

This is an extra thing that will then stop people calling for restarts mid race.

This would only benefit people who use their LFSW stats as e-penis enlargers.

Why would you want DNF stats anyway? Most people would look like noobs with a 100 DNF's to 1 finished race ratio

What LFSW really needs, is AutoX stats.
I voted no on this one. Heres why I did.

I believe this could make more people angry over a crash that may have just been solved with a sorry and a loss of your gaming time. If you get marked as a DNF, it could lead to hotter heads.

But, who doesn't??

I wouldn't complain if it was implemented, but i'm far from desperate for it.

Had not thought of this situation tbh but good point.

I understand people got very nasty over crashes in the licence system that Becky set up.
the only problem with the DNF as not count is that when there's a crash and almost the entire field is gone they will usually not rejoin.

So instead of having a lets say 4th out of 15, u end up getting 4th out of 6. Tell me which one looks more impressive.

Just I hate it when a mass amount of people just leave in the middle of the race, it makes my race results look crappy
Instead of DNF why not have "races started" as then DNF would simply be races started - races finished and we already have the number of races finished.

That's fine too. But please add atleast some statistics to show that there was more people in the race in the final results.

Yep. If a player starts a race they should be logged and if they are not on the server at the end they should appear on the results as a DNF.

Yes, please. A group saw one of my race result and decided that I was not a good race because i was scored 4th out of 5. When in fact the starting grid consists of 15 people, and many crashed/quit.
I'm fine with a DNF counter, but I don't think restarts should count at all.
If You have lag and you get a DNF.
You have Lost Conection to Server and you get a DNF

Well you could have a note on the side that says why you did not finish. (accident, lost connection, etc).

But this is on the view of the person who got the DNF. What about the people that didn't. For them it's a little unfair because they'd seem incompetent. (as i explained before, 4 out of 5 seems bad while 4 out of 15 seems good.)
Everyone's got DNFs, for a myriad of reasons.

I'm all for more stats.
