Very simple my friend, extract the DDS files to LFS/data/dds file. Good luck enjoying the lights of your choice
Back up the origional ones, first, though so that you can return to them if you ever want to.
Don't forget to make a backup of the original DDS file. Though it's not the end of the world if you forget because it'll be in the LFS zip file, and if you don't have that you can always download it again.

Edit @Maggot -
I won't let me extract them. I'm using 7Zip
Oh no, don't extract the DDS, just put it into the DDS folder. If it's in a zip (or whatever) file then you'll need to extract the DDS from that file
Oh ok. I'm gonna have a little go at it and i will get back to yous
Would you mind posting some screenshots if they work? I'm curious as to how much of a difference they make and if you really notice it ingame without looking closely at the lights.
I could'nt get it to work :S I can't see what i done wrong. I got the DDS file, converted it to JPG. Edited it in photoimpression. Coloured the lights in black so they would appear darker. Converted back to DDS, and put back in the DDS folder. And that's it.

What settings did you save the DDS with?
I dont understand the settings Lol. Any tips?
Could you not add the prefix 'XRT_' or something and put the jpg file in the skins folder? Then when LFS starts, it will automatically convert it to dds with the right settings and put it in the skins_dds folder from where you can change the name back and move it to the correct place.
I've done it, it worked. I only darkened the rear lights on the XF but still. I will do a more detailed one then post some shots. But i don't like it how all the other cars appear the same. Is their away around this? And also, could someone attach 'XF_Interior2' as i replaced it by accident
Here is the file. Hope it helps

If you ever mess your .dds folder up, you can download just the .dds files from LFS Database, that will save you re-downloading LFS all over again if you don't have it anymore.

Link is here

Good Luck
