Bump Server Track making
What is used to make the tracks for bump servers as I would like to give it a go.

Also, how easy is it to make your own ad banners to go on there too?

Probably LYTE layout editor (addon forum). Just a guess.
All the current layouts where made by myself and I use the inbuilt editor inside LFS.

sorry but where is that.....?
I've never made a track b4. I go ingame and do what?
OK! So I fire up the game and get the menu. I try Shift U and nothing happens!
You have to start up your own game. Then press shift U in your own server.

aaah, ok... let me try

awesome... got it... thanks a lot for the help!

ok, so I am lost now. I made the track but can't find where to add pits.......
Starting grid and pits are fixed by the layout. If you place a starting point you've made a single car AutoX track.
I know you are busy Becky. Here is my CTRA Bump n jump offering. I just not sure about the pits thing but the start and finish work I think......

I cant test pits as I am the only one on my server

what u think?
Thats not a bad layout at all, it needs a few tweeks. The first ramp typically involves a barrier accident, the pits btw you can see where they are if you go into single player rather than multiplayer - theres a row of 16 spaces at the far end and they are the pits on that track, this needs consideration as to where you put the first split (I didnt check) so that drivers cannot jump the start by pitting.

Experience has taught me to use tyres sparingly. Its ok to allow the rejoin sections as you have but as soon as somebody hits those then those with a low end computer will run into serious framerate issues, so try to cull the number of tyres.

I've not checked the spacing on the ramps - they're a pig to do, do they cause unpredictable flips?

Overall a good track with some interesting features.
thanks Becky. I added in for the 2nd ramp a means of a deliberate shortcut. It doesnt necessarily make for a shorter time but gives a different route hence the tyres at the gap
I took out a load of tyres and then we did a race with 7 others.

The first ramp doesn't actually cause an issue from testing with others. The main issue was the tight bend near the end of the lap. The shortcut has been amended with some sturdy tyre stacks that will be the gamble for those that try it.

Hope its an improvement enough to be considered

Here's one I have been working on for a while, if you need to amend anything please do Becky as the splits may need moving and I have kept the objects down to a minimum for FPS issues but add tyres where needed. the track may suit the smaller cars such as XFG

Its my revised Super Special stage set up for full 16 car grid with separated pit lane.

will try it celtic - you try mine

EDIT: Really liked it Celtic. Not my style of track as I prefer the less twisty ones and more flowing but great fun
will do post back what you think, but remember mine is just the basic track with no tyres etc in place and watch the tight exit were you go between the ramps hence all the white lines

PS. use this thread to figure out where the grid and pit is set and build around it

Nice layouts! Only one thing to add, get those ramps closer together, right now they are dangerous, you come in too slow and you sink and jump in the air, the same if you don't hit it straight.

Here is my result from the insomnia this night. Something different.

Track: BL3
Object count: 360
Class: TBO
Laps recommended: 3-4
Lap time: ~45 seconds

That one looks pretty awesome.
but u have to start from pit on that layout.
Yes I noticed that. How do I make so the whole grid can start from a specified spot?
