Hi all,

The LX Month skinning competition is now in the voting stage. New entries can no longer be uploaded, but everyone can now vote for their 6 favorite skins.

To vote for your favorite skins, go to http://competition.lfs.net/lx_skinning/ and make sure you are logged in there. Then on the submissions page, you can vote for the skins that you think look the best.

Figure'd I would post some of the basic rules so people know what to look for when voting:

2 Skin requirements
2.1 Skins may only contain logos that are authorised for use inside Live for Speed by their respective owners. If you use non-standard logos you must be able to provide written proof of authorisation for the use of the logo(s).
2.2 Skins may not contain painted on car parts, like extra vents and lights.


5 Prizes
5.1 Winning skins will be included as official skins inside Live for Speed.

Wow so many to choose from! Some really great skins there, but I voted for those who look like sponsored racing skins and not some personal one.

Just gone to do my voting and.....my entries aren't there. There must be a reason but I dunno what it is, if someone could check it and just let me know what I did/didn't do?

EDIT....if we could just pretend I didn't do this that would be great..thanks.

yea. some great skins, but personally, i don't think voting for the Skins that look like they took hours is really good.

Its the poor people we want to give the prizes to! :P

Sounds rude, but there is also loads of very bad entries. I saw that one idiot had www.lifeforspeed.net on his skin. What a noob! Wait, wait....that was me...ignore that after all.

Some entrants are let down by the picture they use to show the car off; some are badly taken (you can only see one area of the car), low res, or you can't really see the skin because of reflections and/or lighting. But some real nice work in there too!

Your right there.. infact, i probobly voted one for the preview picture alone.. but unknowingly

Now I voted for my top-5 skins. Nice ones .

Sadly some people place 2 or more tire brands on their skin (Cromo + grippmax + shinzooka ...). I did't vote for those although some of them were quite nice.

I made a skin for the competition too, but I did't finish it and the time ran out. I read some post in which the brands and their meaning/products are listed. But sadly they were not complete or controversial.

I wished we had an offical list of all the LFS brands and their meaning/products.
But I know I should have stated this before and not after this great competition.

Anyway I think the winners will be very nice skins

Probably too late now, but would it not have been better if voting for LX4 and LX6 had been seperated? Almost all my top-five picks would actually be LX6es, but I forced myself to vote for two LX4s at least to prevent a worst case scenario... .

Edit: hmpf, shinzooka is a tyre-brand? Never knew that ...

I agree, three vote for each, i'm finding it so hard to narrow it down to only 5 in total. The same skin on LX4 and LX6 is two of my votes gone, and there's about six of these doubled up skins i like ! And about six single skins !

In one post the shinzooka was stated as a tire brand. Don't really know but there was quite less information about shinzooka. This one states it as a (drift)tire manufacturor with a big ?

Erm... I just wanted to mention. Doesn't klid's skin (LX4_klid) go against the rules of the whole uploading skins thing on LFSW? (pornography or nudity?)

Well... it's hardly pornographic. Even saying it has any nudity is stretching it. You see worse just watching MTV. It shows bad taste, lack of imagination and skill no doubt, but I can't really find it that offensive.

I tried to pick ones that i felt would fit into the atmosphere of the game better, rather than my out and out favourites, too many of them are just too good to be made public for a bunch of numpties like us , and to be honest i could'nt narrow it down to only five.
