Classic 70's Lancia for sale!
Dunno whether advertising is allowed on the forum, anyways:

I am selling a Classic 70's Lancia Beta Coupe, it has been dry stored for a number of years & I think it has a 2.0L petrol under the bonnet. It would be easily put back on the road & it is complete. Apart from that, I know nothing as my grandad found it in someones garage. (shame its not a delta)

Anyone into Lancia's??

looks like a knock off of a opel manta/ ford capri , 100's of them for sale , try going to specilist sites and you'll have no trouble shifting it ( just give it a good self service and a bucket of water
Betas are nice cars, if you can find one that isn't rusty. Betaboyz know them inside out too.

You can probably advertise it in Viva! Lancia, and www.omicron.uk.com have a cars for sale page which gets looked at by quite a number of Lancia enthusiasts.

Tristan is afaik....

EDIT: I clearly spent too long writing that!
Thanks tristan. I am thinking i might put it back on the road & take it to a few shows.
I would keep it myself Nice find. Hope you have the time, money and skills to do it justice.
It's got the same style door handles as the mighty, legendary... Austin Allegro.

well that cars worth about 200-300 euro , id spend about 5000 restoring it but i cant get my way to england , police revoked my passport for disclosed reasons
It's worth more than that. And €5000 (~£3000) would be a quick fix. For a restoration you're probably talking about €30000 (~£20,000), and that's if you do most of the labour yourself.

id spend 1200 on new body fixs and the rest on the inside of the car

dont forget id be doing most of the work myself ( but i can get my friends who have Talent to help )
1200 would be a horrid body fix, and a REALLY crap paint job.
3800 might just about do a quick job of the interior, but it'll show.

That leaves no work on the brakes (full overhaul preferably), engine (at least a thorough service), gearbox (quick strip and check), electrics (likely to need a bit of work), trim (some missing in photos, might have to be made).

Remember, you can't buy a lot of parts, so you have to repair.

jeez are you blind , thats repairing it , the re-spray would be about 500 euro ( which isnt bad ) but still ive you could get that car repaired and bought for under 10,000 you'll be doing good , besides you can do some if not most of the work youself

Am I blind? Sorry, why am I being accused of being blind? I'm saying you haven't got enough money for a project like this.

Respray for 500 Euro??? WTF! Are you gonna use a roller or a brush? A decent respray will cost you about 10,000 Euro! If you can get that car bought and repaired for less than 30,000 Euro you'd be doing good (but you'd also get laughed at by anyone who likes Lancias/Betas/Classic cars).

I know a lot of the work can be done by yourself, but you still pay for parts, materials and subcontracting work.
Don't argue with the Mighty Tristan. He shall smite you with his almighty post count :P
I really don't see what a childish comment about post counts has got to do with the fact that theirishnoob hasn't got a clue how much it costs to restore (that's the word he used) a classic car. His costs are for bodging it back onto the road for a few months.

Quality... my dad used to have a "sports" version 4 round headlights and vinyl roof, i used to prefer his hillman imp (rear engined woooo)

Well, sir.

Let him find out how much it costs for his bodge job restoration. If he does, he'll probbably screw it up. But, you never know. He might actually pull it off.

Let him find out the hard way.

Spot the people who haven't realised that Tristan's family run an engineering company specialising in the supply of parts for and the restoration of classic Lancias. Tristan has an engineering degree for a better reason than he wanted to spend three years getting drunk.
Actually, getting drunk was quite an incentive
hmmm workin on bmws all my life , mainly e30's and classics though ive restored old audis/mercs also , you pay 500 to rent the gear needed for the day/'s , besides 30,000 is complete rebuild by a crew of cowboy mechanics , tbh , stripping it yourself and putting everything you need in box's saves you tons , ordering all the parts you need saves you even more , just replace it if its cheaper and bolt it yourself cause i don't know about you but if i was driving an Italian car id like to know that i fixed . Italian cars have a bad history with reliability.

the point im making ( unless your dunce and havent read right ) is that do it yourself , screw your social/gaming life , just fix it and before you know it you got a great car and if you need to sell it you know what you Will make a great profit off it
