Firstly, why is this in "Monitors", secondly the PLL is Printed on your Mobo. If you want to blow your laptop up that badly, then i suppose ripping it to bits is no problem.
Niko told me that your laptop broke while in the RSSC or something? Because you'd overclocked it too far?
I honestly cannot think of one reason why your willing to blow up your laptop just to overclock it? Is it something about thinking its cool to overclock? Harjun, not everyone is just willing to blow up a laptop. Why waste it anyway? Sell the laptop? At least get some money which you can put towards a new computer. (god forbid what you'd do to that one)
Harjun the ONLY way this will work is to remove the mobo and place it in a lager case to accomadate for a custom built cooling system(which ovbiousley wont fit in the oem case.
What you will need todo is remove the heatsink from the cpu and measure the bolt holes that held the old heat sink in place, then with those measurements youll need to decide which cooling system will best fit those holes...you may need to have a coupler plate fabricated from aluminium by a specialist/your dad/dog whatever just be carefull with power tools m8....
All in all harjuin overclocking a notebook means two things 1. the notebook will no longer be a notebook as you'll need to relocate the mobo to a larger case 2. it will take some time to source a cooling system and have coupling plate fabricated.
Or/ if you do get the exact measurements with a vernier calipers:..i believe one or two forum members may work with metal fabrication and may be able to mill a coupler plate for you...its the only way to do it right harjun.
T'was the NTCC when he came in bragging about overclock it to 3 GHz, which is the "Holy Grail" to AMD Overclockers, as most chips just don't get there, and those lucky enough to get a chip that will doesn't like going much over it (ie me - i've been through a 4000 that topped out at 2.75 to this 3700 which runs at 3.07, which is just 70 MHz above the 3 GHz mark - even then i've had to drop it down to 2.9 GHz because it gets so hot, and i'm using Water Cooling not the standard laptop stuff!)

Harjun - If you want to get more performance, assess whether you really NEED a laptop, or if (like most laptop owners) a desktop would be cheaper/faster because you never move it from your desk. If you don't you can sell it and build a faster PC and learn all about building your own PC, and then when your ready, overclocking it.
EDIT - CSU makes it sound a little more complicated than it is, but you can overclock a laptop on the standard cooling, its just that laptops get hot. VERY hot. The hotter the chip gets, the less stable/shorter time it lasts. Overclocking it with the standard heatsink is going to end in instability, i assure you.
LOL! Sounds like an epic story. I remember I once overclocked my graphics card by about 50mhz and it started to artifact. I can't imagine what a CPU would do at that speed.
Correct, doing it right and to make it stable and last at least 12 months is rather complicated....there's no point in half doing the job, standard heatsinks are just that and where only designed to deal with oem clock settings....any other way(as he already knows lol) will result in a lumb of smouldering plastic.
Harjun, the major help you need is not with overclocking it's with reading and understanding what people are trying to tell you.
Everyone has told you not to do it and what will happen, they even gave you all the information you needed, which you said you'd read but still asked questions that should have been answered IF you read the information given.
You don't seem to grasp the basic factors of overclocking and what you need to do to make sure it can be done and also the risk that are there. When you overclock something it makes it run hotter, which is why you need extra cooling to make it work, you can't really do this well enough with a laptop.

hey, i might not do it, but so if i just put the thing printed on my motherboard in the pll setup, and then whack the bar up on pll control, will it be something like 3Ghz?
People are taking time out to offer advice that you have asked for, you just seem to ignore it and to the complete opposite.
Stop asking for help if you just ignore it all the time. Just break your laptop and get Daddy to buy you a new one, it will save everyone here from wasting their time on trying to help someone who doesn't listen.
To be really honest, I think that no one should even tell you how to do tihs. Or should have told you in the first place. I still don't see why you want to do this.
For me, being like you are at the moment is nearly as stupid as killing yourself. You know whats going to happen, but you don't care.
But that doesn't matter - it's about the connection between the CPU (specifically the CPU's IHS) and the heatsink - if theres crappy contact you could pour LN2 on the heatsink and it wouldn't do much.
