Rules:

THESE ARE ONLY GUIDELINES but please try to follow them:

1. Incidents: If you hit another driver and gain a position advantage it is good sportsmanship to allow that driver to retake his position. We do not expect you to stop racing. Use your head, give some courtosy.

2. Defensive driving: Blocking is all part of a great race. You are allowed to block other drivers from passing you as long as:

(1) No deliberate contact is made

(2) the other driver is NOT beside you. If the driver is already beside you DO NOT force that driver off of the track.

3. Exiting pits: When exiting pits make sure that it is clear before you enter onto the racing line. Use of the track map and the look left & right keys/buttons is recommended. If cars are approaching, do NOT leave the pit lane unless you are fighting for position - Please do NOT cross the pit exit line when leaving the pits unless there is an obstruction that makes it impossible not to do so.

4. Re-entering track: If you go off the track in a race DO NOT reset the car or drive back onto the track. You could possibly ruin another race in progress. Again, you should use your map and look controls to see if anyone is coming. If you do re-enter the track safely but are too slow and drivers are getting closer behind you... drive off the racing line, or if necessary, pull off to the side of the track to give room.

5. Car Damage / Fuel: If your car gets severely damaged in an incident and you want to try and make it back to the pit lane, then, drive off the racing line to let faster cars past. If you run out of fuel get off the racing line as soon as possible or pit right away. We recommend that you turn your hazard lights on to let other players know you are a caution on the track (press 9 on your keyboard. 0 to turn them off).

6. Contact: Rubbing and tapping are all parts or everyday racing, so, this is allowed as long as it doesn't harm anyone's race or gain you an advantage. Due to occasional lag, small taps may cause a major crash, so be careful!

7. Race Rules: If you are being lapped by leaders please let them pass you, when it is safe do to so ( i.e. not in the middle of a chicane ), and as quickly as possible. You should be told by an on screen message if you are being lapped, the words “Blue Flag will be displayed.

8. Pitting: Pitting can become dangerous if you do not pay attention. It is required that you drive in the 'pit lane' used to enter and exit the pits. Don't drive straight across every pit box, instead go to the furthest available pitbox. - This will allow more drivers to pit safely on the same lap(s)

9. Deliberate Corner Cutting: Deliberate Corner cutting is not liked. Please dont do it.

If a driver who has entered the race is unable to attend on the day it is upto THAT DRIVER to find a replacement to drive for him and to let ATC Franky500 know about the change as soon as it is known. (e-mail: [email protected]). If the driver is unable to find a replacement then a reserve driver will be given the space.

This is a FUN event, Some racers may provide Race stats or replays if they wish, however there is no gaurantee that there will be any posted.

#5 - need
Yeah Guess I'll go for the XFR then
I'll be taking my UFR along i think, giant killing is so much fun!
Anyone have car advice.. There is my belovered XFR, as always, but something tells me UFR for this race.. It.. tends to roll back to its wheels more if flipped, any general advice?
UFR will have the advantage for this combo. BUT its only very slight , and if not very experienced. might aswell stay with XFR
#9 - dadge
i will be using the xfr. i have a setup from the challenge cup which won the race for me and it also did very good in the last south city 60 lapper. all i have to do now is do some laps *this is your first lap with this combo*
Entry form submitted. Looking forward to it as each I have been in have been fun.
I'll be using the XFR myself. I'll get practicing once I get the GFC out of the way this Sunday .
Damn, I might have raced in this but we are getting a puppy next friday, so I might be busy cleaning up dog shit and trying to stop it eating shoes.
my back is no good but i'm in!
Quote from franky500 :UFR will have the advantage for this combo. BUT its only very slight , and if not very experienced. might aswell stay with XFR

If you like darting from barrier to barrier then pick the UFR
maybe i can ask this. what if all who entered the race agree on a time that if they are going to practice, they practice on the server at this given time? that way we all have a great chance of getting used to each other styles and thus the race should run alot smoother.
this track is a tricky one in the fwds. lots of bumps. imo i will be driving at about 95% because the barriers are just plain angry.
maybe we can discuss a good time for all? 8pm uk time? every day. i am not saying that you have to be there, only, if your gonna practice do it around this time and on the server
I havent entered yet, but I will try to see what happens, to far in advance to know now. School will be starting the 23rd so i got to get school crap ready.

I will signup if im able to
i'll be about after 9 most nights, due to work.

is there any chance we could have the practice server set to more than 10 laps, anything less ain't really long enough to properly test a GP setup.
done some testing last night. made alot of progress on a setup. pb's are comming down nicely. also found loads of grip because of the new tweeks to the set . looks like it's gonna be a R3 race (i did think R4's for a while tho)

as you can see by the pic. the race should be close

And gag won? Boooo! :thumbsdow
he cheated tbh zeug. because gag was the one overtaking .
i'm doing hotlaps close to world record times with R2's (the wr isn't that fast to begin with, i'm 2nd in that hotlap chart with 1.21,590) and around 1.22.500 with r3's, using flotch old inferno set...

yes dadge i was thinking R4's too.
But this set doesn't have the mechanical grip i need to keep the pace with those tyres, and when the thread gets thin they will never get hot enough...

With R3's going always for the fastest lap the performance is great for about 4 laps (lol) and will stay kind of bad (Low 1.23.xx) for many laps until the thread is thin enough for the tire to cool down quickly in the straights.
But this is 60 laps so, i will probably go with R3's anyway and drop the pace about 1 sec slower than usual, so i can use the saved grip to overtake the guys who burn them in the first 15 laps.

A loose rear end helps alot in this combo too...
lost of suspension travel too.
world record is mine (yet...)
congrats dude. what's your pace with r3 fronts?
slow lol... high 22 low 23

im trying them now... and r4's too. (oddly enough, r2 r3 and r4 have about the same performance in the first corner... always between 14.70 and 14.90)
